I haven't seen her in a while; I thought she had a facebook, but I might be wrong.

I hate reading scientific articles sometimes. I always attempt to read some things that professors' labs produced before I email them and ask them for a chance to be in their lab. Most of them are so specialized that it's entirely possible to be 100% lost from the get-go. I'm drowning in a sea of long-forgotten cell and molecular biology.

Prayed for her Roberta. That's so sad.

It doesn't "feel" like a weekend here since my wonderful DH is working. It's actually a very pretty day ... a bit breezy and about 70 degrees.

Debbie Lynn has been on facebook, but I haven't added her to my friends list yet so I don't know if she gets on it often or not.

My wonderful DH chose the rental movie we're watching tonight ... which is why I'm playing on the Internet while "GI JOE, RISE OF THE COBRA" is exploding all over the TV screen. If you just listen to the dialogue and don't watch all the action, it actually sounds .... pretty ridiculous. (Shhhh! Don't tell my wonderful DH!)

Harvie, my wonderful DH also rented this movie a few nights ago. It was all testosterone in my living room for 2 hours - even Aaron was excited at the explosions. I had to keep my eye rolling to a minimum, lest I offend an entire living room full of males.

I figured she was still over in PFY, but I don't remember her username.

One GOOD reason my hubby is gone...I don't have to rent GI Joe right now!!!! YAY!!!! I am sure by the time he gets home he will have watched it already and have it out of his system.

Fortunately, he turned it off about halfway through.... I think he'd been hoping for more of a plot. Oh well, it was just $1 to rent!

Ha, my husband felt the same way about the movie. We saw it as a double feature at the drive-in (GI Joe was movie #2) and we left long before it was over.

I enjoyed GI Joe, but that's because I'm able to suspend all sense of believability when I watch a movie and I wasn't expecting too much of it.

Oh, I gotta admit, I have to restrain myself from renting that movie. I want to like it; I love other similar movies like The X-Men, but I just know the movie isn't much good. I was so disappointed in the Transformers movie, and I loved The Transformers as a kid (yes, even though I'm a girl). I wanted to avoid similar disappointment.

I think they are coming out with a Voltron movie. Being an optimist, I have hope.

I always wonder if Beth's tastes will be affected by having an older brother, either towards or away from boyish type stuff. I also like girly stuff like My Little Pony, so maybe she'll just pick and choose from both worlds.

H has 2 brothers and loves to play boy games with them. She loves Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles. BUT, she also loves anything pink, princess, or Barbie. And we don't call her the Diva for nothing. So there's always hope.

Thanks....that's right....the bride part rings a bell..lol. I found her on FB and added her there too.

I think it depends on the child. Hannah and Jake played together all the time, but both still tended to play with gender stuff that was for them. Jack however, liked to play stuff with the girls, even if it is Barbies or Baby Dolls...or dress up. (I am trying to gather more boys dress up stuff since he seems to really like it and I don't like him wearing princess dresses. I am planning on making him some stuff too...maybe prince type stuff? We got a few items from Halloween for him). Justice however is definitely ALL BOY....he likes boy stuff ALL the time (so far)

Well, I'm a girly girl, but I do like SOME action-adventure movies (the ones with plots, LOL!) For example, I really liked "The Fugitive" with Harrison Ford, and "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson.

I must say that I'm not having a good day because I woke up with a killer headache and I've still got it... ugh. Breakfast didn't help. Soaking in the hot tub didn't help. Next up: Diet Mountain Dew and cold compresses. I am sure that the kitties would love for me to lay down again -- last time I did that during the daytime I set off a "kitty swarm" and the bed was covered with cats! (Heck, there were 4 on the bed when I got up this morning!) Anyway, I can't take any Tylenol until after Thursday at the very earliest (that's 10 days after my H1N1 flu shot) because studies show that Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can interfere with vaccinations producing antibodies to fight viruses. (And I'm deathly allergic to aspirin and ibuprofen.)

My wonderful DH is working today and called a while ago to let me know that he may have to spend all of Thanksgiving week in Tucson. Well, that would be a bummer.

Did anyone's church celebrate Remembrance Sunday today?

Interesting.

We always give DD motrin after her vaccinations because Acetaminophen has been found to block the production of Glutathion, which is what helps bind together and rid the body of toxic metals(like Thimersol which is found in some vaccinations).

More good reasons to avoid Tylenol after vaccinations.
