5. Other people trust you more when you tell the truth.
6. You don't have to tell more lies to keep your story straight.
7. You gain a reputation for being truthful - a trait that most people value.
8. Telling the truth helps you feel secure and peaceful inside.
10 tips for being more truthful
1. Make a commitment to tell the truth and honor it.
2. Tell someone about your commitment and progress.
3. Think before you give a dishonest answer, explanation, or reason.
4. Be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony.
5. Be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it.
6. Don't indulge in little white lies; don't get caught in cover-ups.
7. Watch out for silent lies. When you know about a lie and keep quiet, the lie lives on.
8. When you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse and tell the truth.
9. Talk to yourself quietly and ask what is the best thing to do.

When I have been truly saddened by some tragic events in my life I go somewhere quiet where I can be alone. I then wrap my arms around myself and pray. Those times I have done this I can feel the arms of The Lord wrap around me and feel him speak peace to my soul. It is an amazing feeling.Nothing else even comes close. Those have been the times of my life when I have felt closer to Him than any other. He truly is the Great Comforter.

I hate open heights. I can't stand balconies, and when driving across a bridge, you'll find me hugging the rail along the inside lane.
Some friends tried to help me conquer my fear of heights by inviting our family to an indoor rock-climbing center. My heart stopped as we entered the doors and I scanned the highest peak at 25 feet! The instructors assured me that a web of ropes and harnesses would hold me tight. Before I could say "no thank you," I was strapped in and signing an injury waiver.

Why are we demanding Christ be kept in Christmas, when we have all but kicked him out of our lives? When it comes to the choices made in entertainment, most of the church has kicked Him out. Shows that mock not only Christians and our morals, but mock Jesus Christ himself rank amongst our favorites. If we can get entertainment from filth such as The Family Guy, Desperate Trash Wives, Two and a half sex-crazed perverted men, or most of the other garbage out there, Christ has been removed from that area of your life.

Rely on the teachings of Jesus Christ to handle fear. He offers forgiveness, he offers resurrection from death. Fear is a spiritual issue.

I've wondered how Philippians 4:8 compares with New Age thinking and the positive thinking doctrine or Word of Faith thinkers.
What exactly is God asking us to do? Is he asking us to teach ourselves to dwell on His Word? Is he asking us to mentally change how we think? Are we to battle our negative thoughts ourselves or are we to submit them to His care?
How does spiritual warfare compare with this verse? Is it spiritual warfare? I know we are in a war that we enter it as soon as we say "I Do" to Christ. And that is what we do you know say "I Do" to the one who created us and died for us and commit our life to Him. It is an engagement and an engagement that causes us to be in a battlefield.
I mean how else to we come to know that we must renew ourselves with His Word? Or that we are dependent on Him for lifting us out of the miry clay.
