Narnia, I will send you my 2 cats if you need help, OK? And you won't even have to send them back. BTW, I am changing the name of one my my cats. His name is Tink but he is going to be called GONE if he ever does what he did last night!
He decided to forget to use his litter box. I switched from the cheap dusty stuff to the clumping stuff...I think he is going to be locked in the bathroom until he figures everything out.

Shadow, I know that prednisone helps BUT they should have told me EXACTLY how to take it, instead of three pills at once...(Is there a smiley climbing a wall on here???)

Pray about this, OK? There is a house for rent for $100 cheaper than the apartment. It would probably end up the same because I would have to pay for heat, too. There is something WRONG with that apartment or else Ds and I are both nuts. He HAS to leave his window opened at night or else can't breathe in his room. If there isn't air going through the apartment, everyone gets all stuffed up. My theory is the the carpet. The heat is in the floor and heats the carpet. I think that has a lot to do with it. The carpet isn't dirty or stinky or anything like that. It's more like commercial carpet and made cheaply.
Anyhow, if we are supposed to move, pray that we get that house, if we are supposed to get it OK?
Thanks,
Judy

BTW, Dh didn't pay the rent for October...I will have enough to get into the house...I am waiting on some funds that should be here.. (ETA The apartment is in Dh's name I DIDN"T sign the lease. The owner has a months security deposit so that will cover October's rent. The lease was only for the first 6 months and that ended in July. It was month to month after that.)
This house is only a few minutes from where we live so Ds can still go do his Bible Drill Team stuff at the church and he won't be pulled away from everything. We have lived around here for more than 2 1/2 years after being in MO for 7 and OK for a year or so.
Dh emailed Ds and asked if he ever thought about going back to Missouri. Ds said that the question didn't even deserve a response. Dh had lost a house there about 4 years ago and it really hurt Ds.(To make a long story short-Ds and I were visiting the older kids in MI-dh messed up the electricity-NO AC and it was summer-told me to stay up with kids until he fixed it- he walked away from the house and gave it to the man we were buying it from on a land contract) He also gave away Ds's prize winning rabbit- Now Ds wants to stay in one place. I think that Dh thinks if he doesn't pay anything here, we will HAVE to go and find him. BTDT-It's NOT happening AGAIN!!
Pray we can make it fine without Dh, OK?

I thought it was the Homeschool Support folder before, but apparently it has been changed so it isn't only for homeschooolers, but also for those who are doing public school at home programs. Since that kind of public schooling is quite different than sending one's children to a school, it changes the dynamics considerably. In order for this folder to represent them as well, the name has been changed to reflect those who school at home, whether homeschooling, public schooling or correspondance types of schools.

Probably should put this in the prayer folder, but I think some of you understand why I'm not... I have a friend who has very patiently been guiding me back on track. Of course, satan is having a hey day with me now. Super discouraged about a lot of stuff now and I think that is the plan so that I walk away again. I know it's up to me, but I need the right people to be in the right place at the right time.

We went on a field trip to a mushroom farm today. The food safety manager gave us the tour. He was explaining about hand washing and using hand sanitizer. He said we should follow the twenty second rule, which is to wash our hands thoroughly for 20 seconds. Mr. Manly puts up his hand and asks, "What is rule #1?" He thought the 20 second rule was the 22nd rule and there were 21 before it.

Cynthia--too funny!!! I read it to dh and he had me forward it to his email. He printed it and posted it in the break room at work. I'm sorry, but that is just too funny!!!

I totally blew it this morning. I'm not feeling well and ds4 is, well, being himself. I was trying to get caught up with grading but the brain isn't working. Ds4 comes into the family room with a bowl of pretzels. Every 5secs, it was "what's this Benny?" Well, Benny is a beagle and his world revolves around food. He's going nuts at the prospect of getting food. I yell at the dog. I yell at ds4. Repeatedly. Uh, wait a minute. No food in the family room! Take it to the kitchen and quit feeding the dogs! No sooner than ds4 sat down, he's back to "what's this Benny?" At which point, I EXPLODED! I know it wasn't right, but good golly, everyone has a breaking point and ds4 pushed me way past mine.

btw, has anyone seen the answer key to ds1's chemistry? How 'bout ds3's spelling? Or my sanity for that matter???

His, when I come across my own sanity I'll look and see if yours is anywhere around.

Still looking...

What chemistry are you using, His? I have Apologia Chemistry and could tell you the answers if you don't find your key.

When I get to the point that I explode, I have to ask myself what I could have done to avoid that. Last night, for example, I was really upset. I didn't "explode," but I was very stressed. I thought about what was causing it and realized that it is a number of things that need to be resolved and the family has been fighting me on it daily. I am going to do one thing at a time with each of the kids to not overwhelm them, but to get these things worked out. I have already been working on some of it with Mr. Manly and am seeing improvements.

Shadow, I think mine is somewhere out there with yours too. They must be having quite a party.

I have too much to do and not enough time to do it, and here I am sitting on the computer. Guess I'd better get my butt in gear.

LOL That's quite the picture, cindy: somewhere in the mystical world my sanity, your sanity and hazel's sanity are hanging out together.

Probably getting a mani-pedi.

And why shouldn't it be at a resort overlooking a pristine beach? 85 degrees, sunny, light breeze.

If that's where our sanity is, I don't think it's coming back. I know I wouldn't.

How 'bout this picture--Cindy, misaham and me hanging out this weekend? I invited myself to stay at misaham's Saturday night as I am racing on Sunday and she's close to the start. Cindy was already spending the night. I'll visit with misaham in the evening, and Cindy in the morning. Not sure if misaham is getting up early? Anyway, I certainly am looking forward to the visit!!!

I dont' have high hopes for my race. I've somehow injured my ankle. Most likely an overuse injury. It doesn't hurt once I get running--like a mile or so into the run. But afterwards--OY!!!!!!!! I only did a short 3.5miles on the track yesterday. I couldn't sleep last night because it hurt. Um, so why am I running??? Good question!

I've been emailing the race director friend of mine. Haven't really answered questions but have raised issues. So I guess we're making progress???

I'm not sure, but I think there's medication for it.

I will probably just not go to bed until after you leave Sunday morning, and I think we should MAKE Melissa get up. I'll go in and bounce on the bed. Don't worry, I know which side she sleeps on. Besides, her husband is used to my craziness - he'd probably just roll his eyes and go back to sleep.

Ashley has a new pony! She is so stinkin' cute! She's 38" and a red dun paint. One of our friends was looking for a good home with someone who knew horses and would be gentle with her . . . apparently she spent the summer with a family that was just a little rough with her. She wasn't abused, but their idea of training horses is apparently to just strong-arm them into doing what you want. They tried to teach her to pull a cart without realizing that it's a very scary thing for a prey animal to have something chasing it. She flipped out and tried to kick the cart apart. Our friend figured Ashley will be gentle and patient enough to do something with her. She was free with the stipulation that if we decide we don't want her, she goes back to our friend rather than being sold. I can't imagine getting rid of her - she's very sweet and we're already attached to her.

Cindy--doubtful that there's medication for it. I did mention that my doctor is a runner??? The last time I saw him it was for a possible stress fracture which turned out to be shin splints. He told me to go ahead with my 20mile run the next day.

The pony sounds cute! Some animals you can train with brute force. But, if fear is the issue, brute force isn't gonna get you anywhere. THe hound is like that. Good thing we had a good trainer! She got him to do things I never thought possible.

I'm sure there's medication, His, but if your doctor is afflicted with the same malady, he's not likely to prescribe it.

I forgot to mention that the pony's name is Gypsy, and she likes to talk.

I'm gearing up for another long weekend at work, and I'm already dreading it. On Monday we had 111 calls in our call queue at one point, and that isn't counting posion calls. I have no idea what our medical director thinks we're supposed to do, but he's apparently in his happy place and not worried about it.

Horses that talk are so COOL!

I am totally not a horse peson. Bad experience at an early age, and I do not trust them. Still I know that like dogs they have their own personalities and they can be quite sweet (or ornery) on an individual basis.

I know because my older sister is a horse person. And I actually "know" her two oldest horses, having visited frequently enough to actually be able to say I "know" horses as friends. LOL

The coolest thing to me is how they talk to each other. They stallion is always talking to his lady friends, the mom talk to their babies, heck they all talk to each other. It's so cool that they are not just making random noises.

So your new horse talks to people too, cindy? I would like to meet that little lady some day.

Cindy--could be. Still dealing with this lower leg issue so I went to the doctor yesterday. Doctor assured me that I could still run with a stress fracture of the fibula.

Super tired today and I have so much to do.

You should all pitch in and buy a phone for his happy place and send some of the calls to him!

Will you all pray for my sister and family. One of her grandkids was killed Wednesday. Her brother is in the hospital with broken bones. He is 9. . The kids were going to the bus stop and a woman hit both of them.
LINK
There were adults with the kids (not my niece). The parents take turns walking a bunch of kids to the bus stop. Someone said the kids were inside the white line and the lady swerved towards them.
Please pray for them.
The boy needs surgery but they can't do it on his legs until some of it heals a little bit.
He asked his Grandma (my sister) how he got into the hospital and she told him that he had gotten hit by a car. The hardest part- He asked about his sister- They haven't told him yet that she had been killed....Keep him in your prayers......
