ORIGINAL: younger Congratulations to all the Trios nominated for awards at the upcoming NQC . I was stunned that the Talleys were not one of the Favorite Trio finalists and that Life Goes On was not an Album Of The Year finalist. Other stunners were that Jeremy Lyle, last year's Favorite Bass, wasn't among the finalists for that award this year; and that Brian Frdee and Assurance weren't in the final five for Favorite Artist. They had a tremendous year. I was also surprised that the Talley Trio was not in the final five for trio of the year, but there are some very good trios out there. As far as album of the year, "Life Goes On" was not my favorite album. It was ok, but I did not like it as well as the Talley Trio's pervious two CDs. Maybe it just did not click with me for some reason. I don't think Jeremy Lyle was last year's favorite bass singer, but I'm pretty sure he won the horizon individual award. However, I could certainly see him winning the favorite bass award in the future because he is very good. Also, I agree with you on Brian Free and Assurance. They are certainly one of my five favorite artists. I guess it just proves everyone doesn't have the same tastes.
