I can't believe it! I just got the BF&A email that Derrick Selph is leaving the group. He is going to school to become an electrician. He will be greatly missed!

Derrick is a great guy and one terrific baritone. he will be missed. I have no doubt BFA will no doubt find someone great though. They did a great job replacing the bass, and they will do good here too. God bless Derrick, we will miss him.

Oh my. I wish Derrick the best too. He's been a great asset to Assurance but I trust that, if he's leaving, God is moving him on and there's no better place to be than in the center of God's will.

Does anyone know if he is leaving immediately or will wait for the replacement??? I am going to see them in 2 weeks and would love to say goodbye to Derrick in person!!! He has come a long way since first joining BFA I loved his song he did on Worth It "Nothing Takes You By Surprise" Best of luck to Derrick and his family!!!!!

I'll miss Derrick. I've really enjoyed seeing him over the last few years with BF&A.

I got there newsletter yesterday, and needless to say, I was bummed!! I found out a few weeks ago that they're going to be within a couple hours driving distance this week, but we had ruled out going because our Legacy Five concert is so close, I don't think we can afford ANOTHER concert in between!! But after I found out that Derreck is leaving I REALLY WANNA GO!!!!!! I'll just have to pray about it!!

I really, really like that idea! Marshall is a tremendous singer, and a very humble, sweet person. That is an excellent idea, and I wish I had thought of it. Brian, are you paying attention?????

I doubt Marshall would join BFAA. I don't think that would be a good fit anyways. I think Adam Cannon would be a better fit good singer, and a super nice guy.

I can't see Marsh with BF&A. But I guess wierder stuff has happened. Adam Canon has a very nice voice. I love him with HisSong.

Derrick has come a long way since he started in Ed Oneal U. He will be missed. Good luck to him in his new career, and good luck to BFA in selecting a replacement. Baritones are probably in the greatest supply of any singer out there.

I hate that Derrick is leaving, I really enjoy his singing, and his humor on the BFA video blogs, he's a very funny guy. If he indeed is going to be with them until the first of July I will get to see him with them this Sunday night in Knoxville, TN.!!!! Can't wait!!

I haven't seen the group in about a year. Can someone fill me in on the approximate setlist they are doing now? Specifically are they still doing the following songs:

They sing "Long As I Got King Jesus" at every concert (at the end).
"Praying Man" and "If It Takes a Valley" are also regulars. "Save Me A Seat" is common, but not necessarily sung every time.

Great.. Those are some of my favs. I feel silly even asking this, but do they still do "In My Robe of White" regularly? Normally seeing a group only one year later wouldn't concern me, as far as songs go, but they have released 2 albums since I saw them!!!

"In My Robe Of White" isn't a regular. You'll want to request that one.
Other songs you may hear include "Just a Little Talk With Jesus," "Sheltered in the Arms of God," "Healed," "For God So Loved," "It's All About the Blood," "Deep, Deep Sea," "Jesus Will Pick You Up," "Die Another Day (new single), "There is a Kingdom Coming," and "What Will You Choose."
