Well, as JD once said, "The only sure thing in gospel music is there will be people leaving groups!" I am sad to see Eric Phillips leaving MTT. Yet I am sure he is doing it with prayerful consideration.

He's been with them a relatively long time but I know God will continue to use Him.

I know it must be hard to have little kids at home & have to be away from them so much. This will give him a chance to home more. I pray for his safety. Law Enforcement is a dangerous profession.

Eric is one of the finest young men I have ever met. MTT was with us in April. Not only did Eric sing great, but he pitched in and helped all the other groups with sound and all the little extras that often go unseen. I for one will truly miss him, yet I admire him for deciding to follow God's leadership in his life.

I've only seen the MTT once, but I was very impressed with Eric's tenor vocals. I'm sad that when I see the MTT again he won't be with them. [:(] But at the same time I wish Eric the best! [:)]

I wish him the very best, too, RogerBennett_Fan! I got to spend some time with him in the "green room" once when he was in my area for a benefit concert, and he is a really fine young man!!

I will miss Eric singing also. He is always a treat to be around weather in a concert or at Logan's eating with his family.

We are excited to announce that our new tenor is twenty nine year old Joel Wood from Phenix City, AL. Joel formerly sang with the Daybreak Quartet from the Atlanta, Ga area. We welcome Joel, his wife Melissa and their four boys....yes FOUR boys. Tyler, 10. Brayden, 7. Jaxon, 3, and Cameron, 9 months. What a joy to have this wonderful addition to the Mark Trammell Trio . Please join us as we welcome Joel and his beautiful family! Joel's first official date will be July 10 in Sikes, La. We believe that this is God's man for the next chapter in the ministry of the Mark Trammell Trio.

He sure hit a Grand Slam when he replaced Joseph, and I'm sure he did it again.
I'm looking forward to hearing the new lineup, although, like you said, I'll miss Eric.
