All the artists that used to travel with the Gaither Homecoming aren't going to every concert any more. Bill has consolidated and has a smaller group (which changes) at each concert. So, I'm sure Jessy is still traveling with Gaither, but he's not at every one of their concerts.
I kinda like this cut-back because it gives more time to the artists that are there.

I can see why they have to consolidate! Their artist base just keeps growing!

I wondered why Jessy wasn't at the Family Fest this year. He usually is.

I sure missed Jessy at Family Fest. Bill has not cut back on the number of artists there, but he does rotate one or two off each year and brings in some new artists. For example, the Hoppers are no longer there, but the Collingsworth Family is getting a chance, and they are great.
Wikipedia says that Jessy was born March 12, 1938, which would make him 71, but I think that must be off by a decade or so.
It also says that he wrote I Am Redeemed, which I didn't know.

According to Jessy's website he is being saluted by Chicago at a big celebration on June 26, 2009. He doesn't have anything on his schedule after that. He is an ordained minister (he received his doctorate of divinity in 2006) so I'm sure he stays busy with his church. Plus, he is starting up a new recording label "Gospel Ambassadors Records Company" and is quite busy with that. Also, he is over 70 years old and so I'm sure that he is wise enough to not try too much at a time.
