Gee I thought I made a post after ya Mike. Strange.

Anyhoo, what I usually tell people is that if they are staying more than a week then it would be good to hop to another island. But if you are staying just about a week, one island should be good. On Oahu alone theres plenty to do.

As for me that weekend, John and I attending the Messianic Passover dinner on that Saturday evening. We are both also going to try for the lunch on that Sunday. The Passover celebration is three days with a concert, conference and Feast! It will be John's fist Passover Feast since he missed it last year. I love it. I gain a sense of what it was like when Jesus had his final Passover Feast (last supper) with his disciples. He was at His own celebration!

Hope church went well for everyone today. How was it?

There will be a breakfast between services. I'll be a worship leader at both services. After that, we have no specific plans.

I went for the first time in months today. It was very nice being Palm Sunday after all. There was the parade of Palms. The reading of The Passion, and then communion. The reading was different. It was our pastor, our Minister of Education and a few other people and they kind of filled in the voices. Very neat. I cried, but I always do. Especially when the pastor read the old language as Jesus speaking.

For Easter I'm going to church, and then Ed's grandma's house for Easter Dinner with his fam. Cheesecakelette went to SC for Spring Break so we won't have Easter with her for another week afterwards.

Aloha! Pulling up a hammock for a POG

Cheesecakelette? How sweet! So I take it that she's excited about having a new mom?

Terri, sounds like you had a very nice service. Glad you made it back to church again.

Aloah

(Barb's gonna pull up a hammock and read some now)

Oh..For Easter we will be attending church, then we will have our children comeing home, with the grandkids, for a brunch. Gonna see if I can get some of them adult children of ours, to attend church with us. It's like pulling teeth sometimes Would be nice if they bring the grandkids along.
Then we are invited out to my mother-in-laws for suppertime.
I am gonna make "family" Easter baskets for all my kids. The five grandkids get enough candy that day, to have yet another basket for just themselves. So they can all share. Have been busy sewing sleepers for the two small grandkids, a pair of PJ's for the oldest grandson, and poncho's for the two three year old granddaughters. I can put them in the Easter baskets also.

Good morning/afternoon and happy Monday... Hope everyone had a good weekend.

The deck has been cleaned and is ready for another great week of fellowship and hammock swinging. How about we start off with some praisin?

QOTD: What kind of praise and encouragement can you share with us today?

I talked to a friend of mine today who I have prayed about for years. He claimed to be Wiccan. He was one of my closest friends, but we didn't talk religion. Well I haven't talked to him in years till today. He proudly told me that he has accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and has been baptized. I was just so blessed to hear that! Praise G-d for answering prayers!

Thanks Terri! I started doing that upon learning that it was offensive to the Hebrews to spell it out so it became a habit. How's it going at Gymboree? Was cute cabana boy there?

He wasn't there. BUT! and this is a big BUT I did find out the little one he brings isn't his son. Its his nephew. The boys parents brought him the other day. So Uncle Cabana Boy is single and likes children.

Please explain why spelling God, no offense meant, is offensive to Hebrews. I have never heard that before.

(((((((Everyone))))))))

Marsha, hope that link helps. How are you today? You know what's interesting is that John has recently connected with a few old high school friends back in Cleveland lately. So I'm glad he has those connections. He misses it back home sometimes.

Speaking of connections, I've had two friends of mine tell me how sad there were after reading my last blog post (the one about the old house). Aww. One friend was from Intermediate school and the other is a friend I met right after high school (but I was still at the house at the time). They made ME sad. lol

John made me blueberry buckwheat pancakes this morning! It was very good.

QOD: What is the worst smell you have ever encountered?

The submarine smelled like a combination of a really dirty locker room and diesel fuel. When I came home, Tooshy made me hang my clothes up outside even though they were clean.

But I think that there are some smells worse than that.

Tear gas

Industrial strength ammonia

Industrial strength chlorine

An electrical fire

A nice ripe sewage tank in the heat of the summer

A branding

But perhaps the gag-reflex winner was when a friend asked if I'd come over and fix her sink. The drain pipe had been leaking for a long time. Under the sink was a plastic bag taped over the whole pipe with an old rag inside it. As soon as I started to tear off the plastic bag...it was pretty bad.
