Regarding those cones, do they also make those for people?

The cone only keeps them from biting Euty.

What we need around here in certain places are those bark collars.

Toby's fine. Operation successful. He's resting comfortably (well, as comfortably as one could be with one of those cones on ...)

Excellent.

Taking Algebra 1 & 2 was a lot more fun for me than posting in M&E lately - and I hated Algebra 1 & 2.

I think you need to brush up on your Klingon in order to post in M&E and be understood clearly.

I wondered why no one ever understood what I said ....

Well, having to take Algebra is scaring me to death and stressing me out M&E does not do that to me. M&E may irritate me to death, it may male me realize how legalistic people are...But I have a math phobia brought on by bad to horrible math teachers

If it makes you feel better, the older I get, the better my math skills are.

Don't let it freak you out. A good attitude and hard work will pretty much guarantee an acceptable grade.

That is key. I despised any kind of math in high school. But I was taught and thoroughly loved trig in the Navy (I had to know it for advanced electronics). The difference was in the teachers.

Yeah for Toby! That's great news!

As far as having the power to cause men to sin - with or without makeup - well, judging from the reactions I get from inmates at the jail, just the fact that I don't have a beard is enough to cause many of the men there to lust. Of course, I'm sure even if I HAD a beard, some of them would still lust...

As far as math, it was always my favorite subject throughout school... until I got to college and had Professor Screech (OK, I don't remember his name, but he looked like the kid Screech from that teeny-bopper show years ago... He looked about that old too... ). It was a calculus class which I had already taken in high school so it was more review than anything but I couldn't stand how they taught it.

Strangely, many of my friends who desperately hated math, loved it in college and a few even became math majors...

Good Morning, Denizens!

Every time GC needs help with Algebra I have to spend a couple minutes relearning it. It was a looooong time ago that I took it. Now she's struggling with chemistry. I never took chemistry but, when I looked at it, it was mostly math stuff (word problems) that she was trying to figure out. I tell her how to do it but she doesn't believe me because I never took chemistry.

It's a very good thing I didn't homeschool the kids like I was planning to.

When I try to help Thing 1 with his geometry he has a hard time believing that I actually made it through calculus.

I have decided that NOTHING I do is going to detract men from lusting. When I was just getting over the flu I went to the store wearing sweats, crocs, no makeup and a sloppy ponytail and had guys still oogling me.

I soooo badly wanted to cough and gag just to emphasise why I looked like something a cat threw up.

I have noticed that they tend to look the other way when I dart into the lingerie department for socks and Thing 2 is screaming, "I can't go in there! I'm not 13!! It'll burn my eyes! Oh no! Too late! It burns!!! It burns!!!!

The first time this happened he melted all over the floor and a group of men standing in electronics were turning purple from containing their laughter.

After looking at that site about the way people dress to go to Walmart, that description makes you sound like one foxy lady. You were just better looking than what they were used to seeing.

Seriously though, I guess I'm too old-fashioned because I would be embarrassed to oogle any woman. I might notice, but I'd quickly find something else to look at rather than do that.
