Bring the snow my way. My son would love it. Money! He does snow plowing.

I can see why you like her Euty! I really enjoyed the 'horn' story, it reminded me of my oldest DS. The stairs that went to the basement, where their bedrooms were as teens, went right behind the two recliners that his Dad and I watched TV from. One night the channel suddenly changed on the TV... the Ex grabbed the remote and put it back to what he was watching... suddenly the channel changed again. This went on for a couple more times when we started hearing muffled laughing coming from behind us. Sure enough it was the kid with the remote from his TV which was the same brand as ours!

Gotta love that kid. I'm not totally sure why, but ya just gotta

How's the Den doing these days?

I liked the blog too Euty. My grandson wanted me to tell him bedtime stories last night and I chose to tell him the stories she told in her blog. He loved them! Especially the one of grown men yelling Mooommmy.

36" now. How big is his plow?

Had fun blowing snow off the driveway last night. My wife picked out the house, and part of the deal was, "Fine, you get to buy your mountain house. I get to buy what ever snow removal equipment I deem necessary to keep it maintained in the winter."

So, I now have "Snowzilla, Snowblower From (&*^%*".

It's a big 48" 14 HP snowblower that mounts on the front of a big 700cc ATV.

I call it snow removal equipment. My wife calls it a Man-Toy.

You say po-tay-to. I say po-tah-to .....

Man, I'm so jealous. Well not about the toy.

But, about the snow. October has teased us mercilessly. First it snowed 6" during the first week of October, which was about a week or two early for "usual". Then, it didn't snow again until earlier this week; and that was also a one-time thing.

I want some snow!

36"??!!! That's pretty enthusiastic!

Ummm, that would be "snow removal machine". Men don't have toys, we have tools, equipment, and machines.

It's all absolutely necessary stuff.

Oh, please pardon the slip!
I'm so embarrassed that I could have made such a mistake.

Note to self: Don't call man-toys, "toys" in front of a man.

I sure hope we don't see 36" of snow this winter. The last time we got half that much in one storm, most everything in the area shut down for a week.

Hiya Everyone, I am just getting caught up in here reading up to 3 weeks worth of postings! Here are some comments that I made from what I observed here.

for halloween, i'm going to dress up like a crosswalker!

Hahahahaha!

I have visions of "church lady".

Someone wanted me to do a skit being the church lady once.

Too true Doink.

Some people are wonderfully good at giving their views without attacking though - Abiyah (Covaan_Meshuga) is usually one of them. I like reading her posts even when I disagree because I know she will have thought it out and say her view without needing to "make" anyone else agree or disagree. IMO that lets people think about what she says instead of jumping into defense mode, or attack mode. Much more effective, actually - at least if you are really wanting to discuss and not just .

I really appreciate Abiyah's words of wisdom that she purveys here in forums too.

OK, so I have at least 2 people fooled into thinking I know what I'm blabbering about.

(Thanks for the compliment.)

Count me as number three.

BTW, what happened to GroupA thru GroupV?

Beats me. You'd have to ask Arlo Guthrie about that one.

(Edit: Just in case you're not a fan of old Viet Nam era folk tunes, it's from Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaraunt". Somehow, it just seems to fit.)

You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant.

Walk right in it's around the back
Just a half a mile
From the Rail Road Track

Oh My goodness I feel my hair getting longer just typing those few lines.

*dances*

The little twirp made me think he didn't win either. He said, "Mum...it was so sad...they announced the winners of student council and they...*sniff* they said the names of one boy and one...*sob* girl...and...*blows nose* it was Jane Doe and...THING 2!!!! *uproariously laughter*"

Brat.

Woohoo, I remember being in student council in high school myself.

In case you don't remember, or are too young, "Alice's Restaurant" was a 20 minute song. Most stations would not play it because of the length. But it was played on some free spirit FM stations.

Another 20 minute song was "Inagodadavida" Anyone remember that one?

Now there is a radio station here that does or at least used to play this song every Thanksgiving Day.

Yeppers, by Iron Butterfly, released on their 1968 album by the same name. But as I understand, it was supposed to be "In The Garden of Eden" but they were stoned when they recorded the song and decided to leave it that way.

And then there was the episode of the Simpsons where Bart replaced the traditional hymn music with music for that song instead.

I remember the 60's fairly well, it's 1973 forward that gives me trouble.

And I used to play Alices's Restaurant on my eight track.

8 tracks, now what is that?

I do not remember the 60's at all

I don't either!

I was around for the second half of the 60s but I don't remember them.

I was there for the last year of the 60's myself.

Now I remember 1977, it was the year that I first started following top 40 music.

Just try calling AT&T.

Or call one of the credit card companies and try to close an account.

Or..

I'll stop.

Eventually we'll just only txt. LOL. You know people are asking to be able to text 911.. well that'll give you nightmares.

While I do not know how it is now, it was fairly easy for me to close credit card accounts 10 years ago. I closed them with glee!

I think I have survived Halloween. I am eager to get back to Mississippi and see my Sweetie. This week I have filled a trash dumpster and a moving pod and I still have more to move. But that will be done next trip. I want to get home.

My anxiousness while still present seems to be under control at the moment. My mouth has been feeling better, but not 100% yet though.
