Hmmm..........can't wait to purchase my first package of "Cranky Heifer" coffee. I think I'll buy it as a gift instead of keeping it all to myself.

Love it! You really should trademark that name.

I love it. I will purchase the rubber gloves, so we will need somebody else to do the sorting.

It would be a easily recognizable name. It would sell like hot pies.

Hi Kath!

Hi Karlie!

It's Kristin...

By the way - for those planning the redneck coffee poo --> After not much thought, I've happily and with much joy reluctantly decided to not join you all in your new business.

Probably some of that Barn Happy like Gary got for Christmas.

How about a sports question?
Counselor: Who is or are the most famous athlete(s) who were at the same school as you, and that was actually in class with you?
Mine would be Walt Frazier, former SIU and New York Knicks basketball player at the same school, and Jim Hart, former Saluki quarterback and St. Louis (football) Cardinals quarterback, who was in the same Educational AV Materials class with me.

Walt Frazier, wow! "Clyde" was one of my favorite players. Did he wear a full length mink coat in college?

I was in some phys. ed. classes (racquetball, bowling, badminton) with several UT football players, and played intramural basketball against some others. The more famous ones include:

Stanley Morgan, an All-American football player who played 13 years in the pros, 12 of them with the New England Patriots, where he was an outstanding receiver.

Mickey Marvin, an All-American offensive lineman, who played 11 years with the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders, including three Super bowl victories. He is now a preacher (Mickey Marvin Ministries).

Pat Ryan, who was a quarterback for 13 years in the NFL, 12 of those with the New York Jets. He is now the color commentator for the Tennessee Titans.

I could beat all of them in racquetball, bowling, and badminton (but not football).

I was a farm girl - it's one thing to walk through knee deep manure. It's quite another to "pick" through it pulling out beans that someone will eventually ingest... Just the thought makes me shiver...

Just wait until the piles dry, and shake the beans out.

We can advertise it as "sun-dried".

BTW, I laughed so hard at the "Good To the Last Dropping" slogan that Mrs. Kerrlaw had to turn off The Unit and see if I needed medical attention.

The closest I come to a famous athlete is that my nephew went to high school with Michael Redd of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks. I am very impressed by him. When he signed his first NBA contract, he gave his father, who is a pastor, the money to build a church. He is a humble, wonderful young man. I wish people knew more about the good things athletes do.

We placed an ad for a new employee in the paper yesterday, and will hold an open interview tomorrow evening. It'll be interesting to see who shows up.
