My son would get along great with Cindy on that point. He has his MBA from Ohio State, and is working on his PhD in economics, but he hasn't read a work of fiction since it was mandatory in high school . . . or maybe farther back than that, since he was intimately familiar with Cliff Notes. I love all kinds of books, fiction and non-fiction alike.

I will take care of someone else's octuplets for 25 million per year. And do it on camera.
Key word there: someone else's...

Thanks, Cranky. I just bought it for my Kindle. I like hilarious.

You'll have to tell me what you think. I've been snickering my way through it, but you know how humor works--what's funny to one person may not be funny to another.

I started it. In chapter 3 now. You're right, it's hilarious! I am SO glad you mentioned it because it is cracking me up.

Hey, I'm having a hard time dealing with the passing of a friend. I put a prayer request in HERE. I could really use some prayers.

I'm praying for you and her family on the death of your neighbor. As children of hope, we know we will be reunited with our loved ones soon and very soon but the loss we feel at the moment is still difficult. Greiving the lost of a dear friend and loved one is right and healthy; don't let anyone dissuade you.

I am praying for you and for the friend's family.

I don't know how many of you read in the prayer request folder. It may seem strange, but I read there when I need cheering up. There are many posters who post the most beautiful prayers and are very diligent about replying for prayer needs. It can move you to tears to read the situations needing prayer and the wonderful responses. I pray for a special blessing on those who bring comfort to others through prayer.

Remind me what is so hilarious. It's not Fup is it?

Did you ever tell me how old Kindle is? It's nice that you enjoy reading the same things.

It's Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog) by Jerome K. Jerome. And I was thinking of Fup this morning and comparing them. I think you'd like it. It's completely different but amusing in much the same way. Sort of.

My Kindle is a couple of months old. We invariably read the same thing at the same time.

My best friend has a Kindle. She has ALS and has lost complete use of her hands and most use of her arms. She can't turn pages, but if someone places her hands just right, she can "bump" the button to change the Kindle screen. I wonder if she'd like the book y'all have recommended.

I think I'd like someone to read to me while I fall asleep. Not sure what my boss would think of that right now......
