and now, speaking of Ruby Red . . .
Trish, the link above is to the song, "Ruby Red" by the Kingston Trio, back in the '60s.

......................I made it through 45 seconds, but that was just because I was being polite to you, Sharon-Marie!

I had some combo juice one time that was half-pomegranate; I think the other half was grapefruit.

Not that good.

Maybe I'll try a pomegranate since you're broadcasting it to our brains here!

I've never had one but I like the pomogrante scented soap and stuff I get from Bath and Body Works.

Hey Sharon-Marie! I have 19 days left!!! *dances*

I would have loved to have seen SharMar splattering everything in pomegranate the other day. I think that would have been so funny!

I'm still cleaning the screen...

I use the 'under water method' of peeling/cleaning myself.

Flu-boy went back to school today and I left instructions that he should CALL DAD if he gets sick.

LOL!

After all, Trish, I am the epitome of sophistication, doncha know!

Yay, Tink!

SirW - you really made me laugh! I love the Kingston Trio . . . but thank you for your 45 seconds of politeness.

Kerr -and- Bill . . . as soon as I saw Yakkity Yak in the link, I knew what it was . . .
. . . AND ironically, my first thought regarding the coasters was that my favorite song of theirs is "Get an Ugly Girl to Marry You".

Tink, I think it was you who asked about yak traks. Trish is correct. And, HERE's a link to them (not the shoe, but what's on the bottom of the shoe).

OK . . .

Just zipping through . . .

I'm probably not going to be posting very much this month. I'll be reading though, and keeping up with stuff.

Behave y'allselves here in Zooneyland . . . by edict of the Queen.

He did ok with it. His fever didn't get too high and he was good about fluids, but wouldnt' eat. He finally showered and has been coughing ever since, but I suppose that is to be expected. He was anxious to get back to school because his friends only can call his cell phone and it is turned off for an undetermined period of time. He tried calling them from the house and they didn't return his calls. Poor guy.

Lousy friends.

I might not be able to get the day off to threaten him with severe torture and murder

I know I already did via facebook but it just isn't the same as in person

He is terrified of meeting you but I think that's good for him. If you can't that's okay. We'll work something out some other time. I am planning on going back up around my birthday to do the state fair. Maybe then.

Ah, okay, they're like tire chains for shoes.

Do any of you younguns even remember chains for tires in the snow?

I ain't no youngun, but I remember them. In fact, I saw a thing on the news last week about truckers putting them on to drive in the snow they were getting out west.

The news piece was about Montana or somewhere out there. You're out there all right, but it's got nothing to do with west, or east, or north, or south. Get it? Got it? Good!

I've seen tire chains. We get snow in Arizona ... Flagstaff is a big time snow skiing area, and Tucson has Mt. Lemmon. I remember right after getting my driver's license my parents and I took a day trip to Tucson and were driving up the road on Mt. Lemmon. It started snowing (and yes I was freaking out) and they closed the road to anyone who didn't have tire chains. I wasn't the least bit disappointed that I had to turn back around to safer driving conditions.

Tire chains are normal around here if you're heading to Reno or Tahoe.

Thanks to Cougar-Marie I dreamed of pomegranates last night.

And those yak trax things look like an accident waiting to happen.

I have heard of them but I don't remember actually seeing them. I don't really consider myself a youngun either, but I wanted to answer anyway.
