Tina, I'm glad you found a new favorite. I don't care for EH&SS though! The dancing turns me off, and I don't really care for the way they dress. That's just my opinion. Funny how people's taste are different! Have fun watching EH&SS on utube!

Somebody recently said that they are more "choreograph" than "dance." That may be a pretty accurate way to put it. There is lots of action when they sing -- but it is balanced! Some of my favorite songs by EHSS are the ballads they sing. When you watch them, you can tell they are having a good time -- they really enjoy what they do -- and the crowds who flock to their concerts do as well.

To add what everyone else has said, I think groups like SSQ and the Dove Brothers are bringing back the excitement to Southern Gospel Concerts that has been missing since the hey days of the Statesmen. It is the very thing a lot of people don't like that is bringing a new crowd into SG. The Statesmen done this years ago and as long as a group comes along every so often to spark life back into the industry it will last a long time. The current group IS EH&SS. JMHO

I heard SSQ Friday night, and they sounded great. They can get a audience going, even the ones that are sitting on their hands.

hopefully the people will just hush and let them do their own thing. in the music section is a thread titled what is wrong with CCM? can bring same thing to SG. what one posted. it has become more to money money money not ministry to the Lord. HE is what a ministry is about not hairstyle, clothes, how they dance or if they dance. David danced before the Lord and when the Ark was brought before him he stripped and danced before the people in the Glory of the Lord giving praise to the King of Kings. in other words, let them boys let their hair down and praise the King. EH SS have slowly worked their way into being one of my fave groups. Get Away Jordan yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

ORIGINAL: L5FanLady Ok, I thought that there was an Ernie Haase and Sig Sound thread already, but I couldn't find it. If there is, mods, please go ahead and shut this thread down and point me in the right direction! (end quote) I started a thread back in June about their Summer Concert Tour, but not a general EHSSQ thread. As for EHSSQ, their styles (stage manner and dress) are a bit different from some of the other quartets, but their music and spirit is right on. Everything is not supposed to be the same. I like them, just like I like a more traditional quartet such as TQ.

I want to share this with everyone. When I first began seeing EH SS I didn't like the way they did things, the dancing, the hairstyles, the short ties, and I didn't give them much of a chance in my book. I didn't even really take time to hear them much, I just wrote them out because they weren't what I was used to. However, the more I heard from them, the more I began to realize these guys had one awesome sound. Still didn't care for the moves, nor the hair and ties. But, December 8th, 2008 Charlotte,Nc I attened my first concert that featured EH SS, The Gaither Homecoming Tour. I walked away with a whole new opinion of these guys. They are awesome guys, they have a HIGH class sound. They bring an energy to the crowd that alot of groups can't, thus allowing them to reach many more people. I never thought I would like the guys, and I am sorry I never gave them the chance, Because after this night, EH SS holds a place in my heart. Seeing them at thier table with the fans, seeing them on stage, and seeing what they are about makes it worth it all. And I just want to share this message, just because someone doesn't look the way we are used to or want them to, or dress like we think they should, doesn't mean they aren't doing whats right, or have the same goal. Don't count them out or judge the book by its cover. God Doesn't, So I ask, Why Should We?

I too am an avid Signature Sound fan. I like them just the way they are -short ties, spiked hair, choreograph (sp?), etc. But most of all, I love their sound. They are really great together. I really believe they are one of the top groups in SG music. Each guy can sing lead individually and carry the song and when you put them together - WOW. You can tell they really love the Lord. Every concert I go to, I laugh, cry, and leave feeling the Lord's presence. They have their own way to bring gospel music to all and are especially trying to reach the younger generation. They are our future and we need to reach them. I HOPE they don't change. They need to keep doing what feels right the them. But besides their wonderful sound, they are really good, personable guys. Their families are real important to them. They are always working at their product tables at concerts and you can go right up to them and start talking like you're best buds. They are so easy to talk to and joke around with. They are so willing (and patient) when you ask for autographs or pictures with them. I don't get to see them but once a year. After concerts, I hug them goodbye and they always say glad you came. Ernie, Tim, Doug, and Ryan are a real blessing to SG and especialy to all SSQ fans.

Answer: Some of the best songwriters ever, and more. Question?- What do Phil Cross, Ray Boltz, and Ernie Haase have in common?

I love Signature Sound but my favorite is The Primitives! They are good singers. And Roger Bennett was a wonderful piano player and singer. Do you ever think in the morning we could have breakfast with Jesus ! ? He's coming soon. I love and miss Bro. Jim Hamill and Foxy. I miss kenny Hinson. Also I love the Booth Brothers also. Mike Huckabee I love him and his wife! And can he play a bass guitar!! I live with my Mother, who also loves Southern Gospel, out on Flattop Mountain. We attend the Flattop Indenpentant Church. It's a good church! Mom gets the Singing News.

I saw a portion of the Dream On tour on TV and I must say it was awesome! There is one song that Ernie sang/wrote that was about God give this child a good heart. Its a really powerful song and so beautiful!
