I try to post in the big name threads, ones that have been around for a while, that way I know they will continue and I wont kill it

I have a feeling I am going to kill this one though if no one responds

Nope, I won't let you ha ha. I'm trying to win a trophy for my efforts-- "Most killed threads," maybe even make the Guinness Book of World Records.

While I haven't killed any threads per say, I do have one or two threads that never got off the ground at all.

I thought this topic was pretty funny because though I am a newbie I am already doing this! I don't know if I am offending people, violating etiquette for newbies, being too serious, writing posts that are too long or what. I like to come up with thought provoking issues and new twists on old ones (thinking in my own mind that I am starting an interesting discussion). Anyway, I started two topics that went absolutely nowhere. Does it usually take time for people to answer? I get a lot of hits but no responses. Hopefully this is funny. I don't know... I'm a noob. Clue me in

I guess it all depends on the topic and the folder, etc. Some areas have more traffic than others and each folder has its own personality also.

Perhaps I'm risking history repeating (since this thread hasn't been posted in for 8 months), but I'm noticing that I'm a super-thread-killer :/. Does make you wonder if you're uninteresting, just too late on a topic, confusing, irrelevant, etc. . .

I usually kill the Weather/cafe chat thread. But I often bring it back to life too. I'm kinda obsessed with meteorology...

Maybe it is because your point of wisdom was so wise that there was no need to add to it at all.

Adrenaline, I will admit to not responding to your posts at all.

I've killed dozens of threads.

And dozens of plants.

Hmmmm ..... I sense a pattern.

That's fine. If I don't write about the weather I'm liable to go crazy, which I always post there. It does really matter if anyone reads what I write or not, I just do it for my own pleasure.

Yeah, sometimes I only post to hear myself think also.

Wow! Whisper! Thank you for renewing my thread! Perhaps we should add a new question: "Who here has revived an old thread lately?" Thanks!

While I haven't, a friend of mine did just the other day.

But since I have unread threads from about a month ago, I will probably be reviving a couple of threads real soon, depending on whether I have anything to add to those threads or not.
