You don't know what you are missing Lisa..........High school football is so well worth the cost of a friday night.

Actually, yes I do - I was a majorette for my school here in FL - and I have NO desire to go back there. While being one was a lifelong dream fulfilled, the experience at the school was awful. I only live a mile away from the school and haven't been back since - and the only way I'd go is if my best friend goes for her son. I have absolutely zero desire to attend.

That is sad........I loved high school..........it was a blast.

Of course I loved college as well.........

Come to think of it I can't think of a season in my life, even the really bad ones, where I don't have at least some really fond memories..........

I hated high school as well, but I loved watching the football games. Well, I dated a football player through most of high school but still...

I enjoy watching the games now and not worrying about how things are going to be after the game. I can just go home and go to bed.

I loved high school too. I have fond memories of attending some of the football games. I always sat next to the band because I had a crush on one of the sax players. I still smile when I think about him

This year the munchkin will be required to attend some of the high school games and participate with the high school band. You know, just to get them warmed up for when they reach high school themselves. I'm so excited for him!!

God has been really awesome to me lately, bringing back some great memories. Such a wonderful change of pace from all the memories I have been muddling through over the last few years. There has always been a light at the end of the tunnel, but now it's brighter than ever!

High school was okay - I just couldn't wait to get to college. I never fit it - when I was in IN - I was "the girl from FL", and when I was here in FL, I was "Margaret's next door neighbor". I never had my own identity - apart from soccer. That's where I was my own person.

Oh, I have some fond memories of things - but I just have no desire to return to places that, for the most part, caused me intense pain. I had a nervous breakdown in HS from being stalked and harassed and shot at by my supposed friends and classmates. And, it all had to do with me dating a guy that someone else wanted to date.

So, no, I have no desire to return to any of that garbage.

I can relate to not having my own identify ... being the fifth child. I was always "so-and-so's little sister". We moved across town after my junior year of high school, and for the first time in my life I was who I was and not just someone's little sister. It was a whole new experience for me!

Pink is my favourite colour and unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of teams that wear pink.

The majority of football I watch is NFL and I loathe GreenBay (who are green; my second favourite colour) so I stick with my Cowboys who are ironically blue (my third favourite colour). *grin*

I recently acquired a ne Cowboys baseball hat and loooove to wear it. It's so cute!

My high school and the high school in the town I live in are both red, black, and white so that's cool. Those colours always represent power IMO so I'm good with them.

Pink, huh?

Well, here's your new favorite team!

Hahaha! Too funny! Pink and black together are a good combo...just not for men's soccer...LOLOL

Glad you liked the pink/black combo. I figured it was better than the team who wears pink and brown shirts. Yuck!

Oh that is ick! What was that person thinking who made that horrid combination!?

Kind of like the teams who put orange and green together. *shudders*

Or orange and brown! *hurls*

Oh, I know. They should be forced to change their color combinations. I used to justify poor fashion choices by saying some sports teams wore it. Yeah, I wore orange and green together thinking it was OK because U.Miami wore it too. Good thing I am past that point in my life!

Oh Barry! *groans for you*

I'm sure most people thought you were colour blind though.

Well, most of them are Italian. Looking at their squad it seems they also have some players from Serbia, Croatia, and Albania. Which means Lisa might like them too!

I didn't realize you were from Maine..........I love Maine............Not only is the coast breathtaking..........but the interior is so inviting............I have done some backpacking at Baxter State Park and Moosehead Lake area...........Of course we also did some camping at Acadia........which is very nice as well.

Which part of Maine do you live?

I am in Portland, the only place that can really be considered a city in Maine! My grandparents go to Moosehead quite often, but I've never been. I haven't seen a lot of the state actually.

I have a silly question...But people are always asking silly question about where I live; Hawaii...So I figure I can ask one once and a while.

Do the the leaves change color in Maine?

Being that I have lived in on the island of Oahu for most of my life (there was a year that I spent in Oregon in 3rd grade) I have always wanted to see the leave change color. When I tell some tourists this they think I am crazy while others agree.

Yes, the leaves will change color here. I think fall may be my favorite season here. The leaves all look pretty, the air is cool and crisp and there's lots of soccer to watch.

No reffing scholarships but there are mascot scholarships! The Saint Joseph's Hawk gets a free ride in college I hear! But that's a really tough mascot to be so the Hawk earns every penny if you ask me!
