Years ago, I responded to an ad that I saw seeking a "high lead". I remember talking with the tenor of the group. Didn't quite fit in with my life then, but I always wondered what happened to that group.
I was poking around and came across this guy, Robert Richardson. I'm 99.9% sure that is him because that tenor sent me a sound clip and once you hear it, you don't forget it.
Anybody know this guy, or ever heard him? I have no idea why he isn't singing with one of the "big name" groups. His range is incredible and he obviously has a great ability for voice control.

I think the tenor's name is Robert Richardson. He used to sing with Safe Harbor, and as far as I know he's not singing with anyone. Absolutely incredible, though, and I'd love to see him with a "big name" group!

You're right Aaron, I put Bobby Delano, but it is Robert Richardson. I edited my original message.

Ya he is!
I clocked him at an Ab#6 which is 1 octave and a couple of steps below the top key on the piano at around 4:15 in the video

I wonder what ever became of him after Safe Harbor. Better yet, what happened to Safe Harbor? I enjoyed their bass singer Mike Presnell, and now I also enjoy Lil' Robert as well.

Safe Harbor came to our church not too long ago..I'd say a year ago. They had a great sound.

I wanted to update everyone who's posting threads about Lil Robert Richardson. He is doing very well these days and considering the option of starting a new quartet. He has been taking the past couple of years to care for his wife who was in a very bad car accident in 2004. The concern I find most upsetting is the thread that I have read concerning his "ego". If in fact you have met Robert and have spent any time with him you would "in-fact" know that his "ego" has nothing to do with who he is. He has a very humble heart regarding his blessings from God and his talent. I know this because I am his wife and have been with him on all of his auditions. I understand everyone has a right to their "opinions" but lets at least keep it truthful instead of spiteful just because you don't like someone. God will hold you accountable for all you say and do. I find it to be an insecure person who will post a thread of this content and not have the courage to allow someone email you with their thoughts to what you have instigated. I feel sorry for you and I pray that God will convict your heart to allow His Spirit to come into you that you can see that hurting someone whom you don't know is something that will come back to haunt you.

I just read several of these posts and was upset at the wording of several of the posters even before I read your post.. Vocal Coach, I am sorry you had to read those posts. Lately it seems some of our posters have been taking nasty pills. For whatever reason sevaral have been posting in the ugly lately.
I do not know Robertbut I do hate to see such posts as I read a few minutes ago. Please don't hold it against all of us here in the SG forums.

Thanks but I don't do youtube or myspace. Nothing against them except my computer just does not do videos so I do not even try.
Seeing those addresses does bring up one thought. In earlier posts I did see the name Bobby Delano but someone said no it was Robert Richardson. Is this one in the same???

I have wanted to comment in this folder about Lil Robert, but, In a way I was kinda afraid to jump in, didn't know rather someone would would says bad things back to me or not. I don't know how the rest of you are, but lately, I have watched these bad comments in alot of folders, and just sat aside, and not posted much, because of how others where doing people. Now granted there are are alot of good people here on the forums, but some bad apples it seems as well. Why are us christians attacking each other?? I thought we were supposed to be on the same side. That said, to get back on subject of Lil Robert. I watched his video on you tube, and joined his page to get more videos if he posted them, from that he contacted me and was very encourgeing to my and my ministry, and has been nothing but nice to me. He has never came across as a high ego type person. He has always seemed very humble, down to earth and like a man with a good heart and good head on his shoulders. If he has an ego problem he has done a great job of keeping that hidden from me both on you tube and myspace. He's encouraged my ministry, become a friend to me, and not shown a ego issue. We need to get back to being as christians should and stop attacking each other, and insted put our focus on leading souls to Christ. If we put as much energy into being a witness, and trying to reach others as we do attacking each other, and trying to bring others do, image the possibilities that could be done for the Lord. I have seen Lil' Robert sing a couple times with Riverbank and Safe Harbor. We have never met each other face to face but we have emailed several times. I have tried to get him to come sing with HCQ before and would have loved to have had him as part of our ministry. He was focussing on other things at the time and even though we are in the same state we are probably 4 hours apart from each other so that was another issue. Seems to be a great guy with a great voice. VocalCoach we would have to talk about that Ric Flair look though.
