I said it would either be a boy or a girl baby & I was right. Guess there was no chance of something else comming so I had to be right. Good work Donna & Brian. Praying for God's blessing on this family [[[[[[[[[[Donna, Brian, & Family]]]]]]]]]]

I was really torn in the voting. She looked like she was having a boy Which is why I voted boy, but then I remembered that she looked like I did with my girls and not my boys. I also would have loved to have that name, Gideon, used. OTOH, I would have really liked to see Hannah have a sister. I did take note that Donna was planning on painting the bunks purple and putting them together when Hannah got older, and that nagged on me quite a bit. I was happy either way for different reasons, but was really torn as to which to vote for. I should have gone with girl because of the bunks though.

Working on a new Photobucket album... The short version...that was the hardest labor I have ever had. I am so glad it's over and more sure than ever that we are D-O-N-E. The longer version...the cervadil did work to give the pitocin a jumpstart. The pitocin on its own did nothing really, until my water was broken at 1ish. From 1 pm to 2:30 pm lasted at least 6 days long. All back labor and I'm not sure how I survived through it. At 2:30, I got an interthecal (a spinal...like an epidural, but only one shot of medicine, no catheter left in your back...more on that later ). It took the climbing up the wall edge off, but that's it. No real relief. Brian got there shortly after the interthecal was done, and made the mistake of commenting that this wasn't any worse than the other labors. Ha. Ha. Ha. (No, I was not laughing.) At 4, I started pushing but had a hard time because the back labor never went away and it is darn near impossible to push when your back feels like it is breaking apart. At 4:25, my second little princess entered the world. She was worth every second of it, but man, oh man, am I glad I don't have to do that ever, ever, ever again. Oh, and I didn't know when I called Sandy and Sarah, but Esther is 23 inches long...so even though she's 9 lb 6.75 oz (I think it would have been 9 lb 7 oz if they had weighed her before she pooped all over me ), she's really not fat, just long. She's the longest of all of our babies. And her head and chest have the same measurement...yeah...that's all I'll say about that in this coed thread.
