It's gonna be in the 90's here in GA the rest of the week. It was also hot in PF the last few days when we were there. Daniel the title fits the weather. We may have to keep the title a couple of months until the weather cools off. You could just add I - II - III, etc to get us through all the heat. The old saying fat folks don't like hot weather.

GVfan -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering Despite the Summer Heat (6/5/2008 8:20:59 AM)

I like the title, too, Daniel! And I'm glad you finally got to start one of these! [:D]

Speaking of the Summer Heat, check out our 7 DAY FORECAST. Can't believe it's this hot already.

It does mean Pigeon Forge and they said it was gonna get hotter after we left for the rest of the week. Dollywood loves the hot weather. Sell more drinks at $3.00 each. We carry our cup with us so it doesn't cost so much. Was gonna buy some hot chocolate one morning and a small cup cost more than that big refillable cup. We got an old cup and that holds about 3 of those coffee cups.

Does this mean you are in Pigeon Forge and you are NOT meeting us at Tony's for lunch today??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

robertyork -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering Despite the Summer Heat (6/5/2008 10:34:59 AM)

I came home last night. Tenorsister may be there. Maybe they can meet you for lunch today at Tony's.

Yep...I guess that makes us even for the times we run well over 100 pages. Thanks Kate...you really do a good job![:D]

Ps103 -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering Despite the Summer Heat (6/5/2008 12:31:41 PM)

I think there was room for one more post before it went to 100 pages, but after several time of thinking I had plenty of time and being wrong, I decided to make sure I didn't flub the dub this time[8D]

My little niece is getting married on Saturday, so I am running around a lot this week.

My l'il brother is *not* going to make it through this wedding without crying, so that means *I* won't make it through without crying, either. Bless his soft little heart.

He likes the boy, though--and he is a nice boy.

My nephew, after being forced to be in several of his aunt's weddings (including mine, but his mother has six sisters) ran off and got married in January[:D]. He saw how the groom was sort of an after thought in a lot of weddings and didn't want anything to do with one of his own. Sad thing is, he is right.[;)]

I have a neice getting married next month that I'm helping some...then the next weekend after that is my in-law's 50th anniversary so we have to travel and still help on that one too. Large families are wonderful but can be trying at times too. [8D] Don't get too worn out this week. We still need you around here ya know!
BTW: I think your nephew was a smart young man! [:D]

WhiteRoseBlessings -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering Despite the Summer Heat (6/5/2008 1:49:27 PM)

Heat? What heat?

I'm wearing one of my long-sleeved light-weight sweaters today . . . although it has warmed up considerably to 51*. [:D]

noblesinger -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering Despite the Summer Heat (6/5/2008 1:51:07 PM)

Our pastor has developed the habit of including the groom in the ceremony itself by having his parents stand to their feet and give their consent for him to be married. It has always been that a precher would ask, "Who gives this woman to be married to this man?", and for a long time the response by the father was "I do." Nowadays, though, the father usually says "Her mother and I," which I think is far better. As far as the groom being an afterthought, I didn't let that happen in my wedding - I planned our ceremony, not Mary. That's one way to make sure of being included, isn't it!
