ORIGINAL: gaylel1 ...She is with Jesus now (and with Buck also), the person who she sang about, is in the streets of the city and that the only hope that we have... Um, Mr. Buck isn't dead. He made as statement on one of the 'other' websites about the death of his former wife. No doubt he was terribly saddened by this incident. Sorry--my mom reminded me about that also last night when we talked about it. Anyways, I was over on You Tube and I was watching performances of her and it brought a lot of memories when I was following her career. As a CCM/Urban Gospel fan, her music I believe touched all generes, I think because of the impact of it. You see, Dottie was a legend not only in SG, but in Christian music in general. This reminds us that we need to show love to our legends, whether it is CCM, Gospel or SG before they leave us because many of those legends, if it was not for them, many of these stars in all genres would not be there today because they stand on the sholders of these legends. I just hope next year the GMA will give her props as they did with Larry Norman, another great songwriter this year.
