Lynn, I'll let you know how it's going . . . as soon as I start doing it.

I know, I'm pathetic

OOPS...sorry...I thought you had already started. Sorry if I brought up a sore subject. Pretend I didn't ask okay???
Oh fiddle, {{{Lynn}}}

I'm ok.

Really.

I'm pathetic . . .

. . . but I'm still ok.

I just need to be able to compartmentalize this project and put CS out of my head while I'm doing it . . . and apparently, I haven't gotten there yet.

But Our Lord is Good; and I know it's all going to be ok.

NO...you're not pathetic...you will get it done when only when you're ready...and right now you're not. So DON'T stress over it.

So stress over it.
THIS has got to be one of the most unusual encouragements I've ever received.

And thank you (because I knew what you really meant).

I didn't see it over in the prayer thread, but I did see where you posted here about doing it; that was funny!

After Hurricane Isabel we were without power for 11 days...needless to say we lost everything in our freezer and refridgerator. My neighbors were all firing up their gas grills and cooking everyone's food to at least try and save what they could. I was at my in-law's so by the time Hubby got back over to the townhouse 5 days later our's wasn't salvagable.

Took 4 months for the grocery stores to get restocked. They brought in tractor trailers (refridgerator trucks) to haul their stuff out to keep from loosing their stock.

Hurricane Frederick in '78 . . . we lost power and water for 9 and 12 days (although I no longer remember how many days for which).

I also don't remember anything about loosing food nor anything.

I guess I just wasn't that aware of things.

I DO remember our crazy neighbors inviting people down from another state to come stay with them during the storm for a hurricane party! LOTS of people (and many of them came). I was, to say the least, astonished.

I certainly hope it did not include any GCC.

You were so young then you wouldn't remember many things that happened. I'm surprised you even remember the hurricane.

Good Morning Everyone....

Daniel, Sony celebrates her birthday all week Don't you think you should have her a present everyday this week?

Bobby, I knew I liked you!!! Now if Daniel can just remember the lessons he's learned on listening to his elders.

Lynn, how is your head this evening?

Donna, your current avatar brings tears to my eyes but it's a beautiful picture of Dottie. I'm glad you did that.

This is Day 2 and it is going really well. I've gotten calls today from SharMar, Ruth, and DeeAnn, all of which were a blessing. Thank you to each person who's taken the time to call. It's been wonderful hearing more voices. Ruth even sang to me a partial song but stopped for some reason! I personally think she has a nice voice.

SharMar inspired me to write on a certain topic so I am praying about that. If God gives it to me, I'll definitely do it.

DeeAnn couldn't talk long since she was at work but I was so blessed that she took a few minutes.

I also got an e-card today from a friend who is not associated with the forums but who was hoping I've already been celebrating. It was fun to be able to tell her, "Yes, I am!"

I think he should!

Me too!!! So Daniel...what are you giving Sony everyday this week????

Not telling. You know she reads this, don't you?

In fact, wondering if you'd be trying to get any stories about me out of her was the main reason I started reading everything posted in the Geezers thread.

James how was the 2nd day of your "career transition" (as you called it yesterday)?
I'm in the second day of the last week. I've been attending these classes now for four weeks. I've learned a great deal. It's been very interesting.

Friday morning starts full time college. Well full time for the Summer Session. I'll be taking Principles of Management and Public Speaking.

But that didn't answer your question did it? Today went very well. On Thursday we'll be giving presentations (PowerPoint) on what we've learned. I'm almost done with mine.
