I would get one. I have one of those replicas that plays 78's, 45's and 33's. It also plays cds. As a matter of fact I still have an old 8 track player.

As a collector, I would if I liked the songs on the LP. quote:
ORIGINAL: i_heart_jesus my question is... How many people would be willing to spend money on an LP? Even if it were just for collection purposes, would people be willing to fork out money for it? And how much would they be willing to pay? I think the LP is a GREAT idea. Let's hear it...would you buy one? I think if enough people got behind the idea, it could quite possibly become a reality...

That would be quite a concert. I really like the Blackwood Brothers, too. Randy Byrd is one of my favorite bass singers on the road right now. Too bad I don't live closer!

What an incredible Weekend we just had at the Swanee River Jubilee. What a thrill it was to sing in front of SO MANY Southern Gospel Fans in one great Weekend. I shared the Stage with the like of The Greenes, The Kingsmen, The Palmetto State Quartet, The Chuckwagon Gang, The Primitives, The Lesters, and of Course the Dixie Echoes. Every Group really seemed to bring their A GAME. The Crowd was so enthusiastic. The Primitives and the Chuck's were on the first night. uit was like going back in time to a much simpler and much more relaxing way of Life. 2 of the Primitives played behind us on our set and it was AWESOME. They are so talented. The next night we had the Palmetto Staqtre and the Lesters. I can honestley say that the Lesters are on of the best familyu groups out there right now. They do not get the credit that they deserve. The Last night was not dampened at all by the weather. (No pun intended). The Kingsmen were incredible. i really like some of their new songs. They nailed "When God Ran". It rained their entire set, but that did not stop the 1,000 plus who sat through the storm. They were truly rewarded for their endurance. The Kingsmen gave them exactly what they came for. I do not want to leave out the Greenes. They sond incredible with Paul Lancaster. I think they have the best mix they have EVER had. What an honor it was to share the stage with these incredible artists. PLEASE don't forget the Homecoming on June the 27th. You do not want to miss this night. We will be doing a live recording in front of what peromises to be another sold out crowd. The Dixie Echoes and the Blackwood Brother's will be singing around the 2 Mic's. it will be like Going back to the Old Day's for sure. You do not want to miss this evening. Go to DixieEchoes.com for all the info. Look forward to seeing you all down the road. His, Pat

I wish I could tell you all how excited I am about the big Memorial Sing tomorrow night. it will be an opportunity to work with the Legendary name in Gospel music (The Blackwood Brothers), and I just feel like it is going to be like traveling back in time when the music and the message were the most important thing. Both groups around the two Mics. Both groups doing a live recording in front of what promises to be around 2,000 people. I also found out that Tracy will be at the concert and he is a class act. I also heard that some of the old Florida Boys will be in attendance. If there is any way some of you can make it, it will be worth the trip. I look forward to seeing and talking to many of you tomorrow night at Marcus Point. God Bless you all and thanks for your prayers. Pat

I believe that I can speak for the masses when I say that the concert on Friday night was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. The concert was set up to where both groups only used two mics and a piano. How much more Southern Gospel can you really get?? Of course, each group filmed a video, so I would suggest placing your order NOW with both groups. These videos are going to be a must have for anyone's collection!! If you haven't heard either group, please do yourself a favor and go hear them if they are in your area. Neither group is really fancy and they don't dance around and try to be something they're not. They truly are PURE Southern Gospel. That was my first time to hear the Blackwood Brothers...and I was quite impressed with them. They really will make you appreciate songs that are sung right! Now, the Dixie Echoes. Wow. Each and every time I hear them they seem to be better and better. Wesley had been under the weather all week, but you absolutely could not tell by the way he sung Friday night. Pat absolutely blows me away. BTW, he is up for Horizon Individual in this year's SN Fan awards....so you really should vote for him! You won't find another bass singer on the road who is as humble and down to earth and talented as Pat. And I'm not just saying that because I know he's going to read this. :o) Randy, Scoot and Stewart are the veterans of the group and they are absolutely amazing. Ain't it funny that you can call Scoot and Stewart veterans and they're under 30??! You won't find a better bunch of guys anywhere in Southern Gospel right now. In fact, I venture to say that you'd be hard-pressed to find another group in Southern Gospel that can out-do these guys. They're the best on the road right now, if you ask me. What you see and hear is REAL stuff. No stacks, no tracks. They're the real deal, folks. They work really, really hard to make sure that what you hear is quality. You will not be disappointed if you go hear them, I promise. If you are disappointed, I'll give you your ticket money back straight out of my pocket!

Let me first of all say what a joy it was for the Blackwood Brothers to get to share the stage with the Dixie Echoes!! We really enjoyed ourselves and I have absolutely wore out their Sunday meeting Cd. I love it. I too encourage everyone to vote for Pat for the Horizon Award. We worked with them back in the winter shortly after he joined and in such a short time he has really blossomed. I love your voice Pat and appreciate all of your guys attitudes. I love to hear you sing How Big is God!!! Actually, I love to hear you sing anything!!! Keep up the good work guys and I REALLY hope we work together a lot!!!

I am TRULY HUMBELED by your kind words. I can tell you that it was a dream come true to work with the Blackwood Brothers. And the crowd was awesome. They were so responsive to both groups. You could tell they really appreciated the time and effort it took to put on a night like that one. Let me say in closing, that NO ONE puts on a concert as good as Stewart Varnado. Any event of his I have been to has been TOP NOTCH. he may be Goofy on stage (lol) but he knows what a crowd wants and he delivers everytime. Congratulations Stewart on an incredible night. His, Pat

Wish I could have been there, but we recently moved from LA (Lower Alabama) to DSL (Deep South Louisiana). Excited to be here, but we will miss all of the Alabama/Florida concerts!
