It does fascinate me that people have over 1000 friends on Facebook. I am not sure I know 1000 people--at least not by name. Maybe I am just not that friendly.

I have 498 right now. Then again, I came from a life of moving around to different states.

ORIGINAL: doinkdom Is the pruning something that y'all do just periodically? Or is it the result of something else? just asking... I have not ever done a friend purge yet. I am assuming that someday I will have to though. quote:
ORIGINAL: armydude On my facebook page, I noticed that there were a few people that had not said anything to me in a while. I also noticed that a few of them had over a thousand "friends". I can't do that. If I send you a request it's because I know you. If I respond to a request, it's for the same reason, or it's because I want to get to know you. I try to communicate with people on my facebook friends list somewhere. It may be there, it may be here, or it may be IRL. But to have someone on my list that does not make any efforts to communicate with me bugs me. Seriously. Me too for the most part, but I have made a couple of exceptions though, namely with certain relatives and a couple of others who I might may know from forums in one way or another. Oh btw, if you have recently added friends to your list and they then suddenly disappear, it may not be because they no longer wanted to be your friend, but rather a glitch on Facebook that ends up dropping people. This has happened with me on 3 separate people now, one of them twice now.

Dude: I read on another Forum that your son is having surgery tomorrow. Is this correct? Will be praying just in case.

Somehow, I lost the subscription to my own thread! This must break a scientific law somewhere... Yes, you are correct. The surgery was today, and it went well. He's staying overnight for observation. The doc expects him to be able to leave the hospital in the morning.
