Guess what...you are in luck!!! They just released a three dvd collection titled I Remember the Day!! It includes videos from 1988, 1991, and 1993. I you could probably go to their website:The Perrys
and go to their online store and buy it.

If there is no luck there, try seeing them when they come near you...it is on their product table!!

One of my favorite songs from the Perrys is on a video I have from the 80's. It's Libby, Tracy with a soprano and lead singer - "I Remember the Day When the Lord Saved Me." That song always gets me excited!

I would love to get that video! I loved the group then but have no recordings of them.

OOO!!! I got that set last week. I watched it all the next day!!! The best one is "Little Thunder" from Bessemer, AL. I was sitting at home by myself and got all excited. I mean I about squished my cat to death!

I never got to see the Perrys in person when they traveled with 2 lady and 2 men singers, but I have them on cd, with Mike Bowling and Nicole as the other 2 singers. I liked them either way.

Hello all...just thought I would post Libbi's monthly update she sends to all the Perrys Partners!! This one really touched me and you will see why when you read it! Also, some dates are posted so if they are comin' your way, go support them!!!

Hey Everybody!!

What a beautiful week we have been having here in middle Tennessee! I have had the windows up in the house and there's a nice breeze blowing in and it feels wonderful. I love spring because the weather is not to hot or to cold, but it's just right. Last night we had some friends over for a Low Country Boil. If you don't know what that is, you take a big pot and put, little red potatoes, mini corn on the cob, smoked sausage (cut up in 1 inch pieces), big onion cut up,
with a shrimp and crab boil seasoning bag and cook. Then about 3 minutes before you are done, throw in some shrimp. When it's all done, you drain the water and pour the whole pot
in the middle of the table. Which you have to have newspapers or an old vinyl table cover down first or you will ruin your table. You eat it all with your FINGERS! Then of course you have a secret recipe sauce that you make up for the dipping. I also made a fresh strawberry pie with strawberries that came in from Florida and a fresh homemade pecan pie. Yummy, Yum! Needless to say nobody could hardly move after supper.

Tracy is almost back to normal now (which I don't think he's ever been real normal...LOL). For one time in his life he followed what the Doctor ordered. Thanks for everyone who prayed for him.

I want to thank everyone who sent emails to our former soundman Mark in Afghanistan. I didn't
have any idea at the time I sent the webletter out that Mark was having a very hard week. He was in tears when he emailed me to let me know he was getting emails from everywhere of people praying for him. Thank you for being so kind. I want to share with you an email that Mark sent me last night about why they are in Afghanistan training the police officers there. Please continue to pray for Mark and all the guys that are serving our country. Here's Mark's email address again for those of you who may want to email him: mark_theperrys@yahoo.com. Mark has also made a request for preaching sermon cd's from any Pastor or preacher. He's been sharing the ones that he has already received with some of the other guys in his barrack. His address is:
Mark Campbell
450th Ca. Bn.
Camp Gibson Building 8
APO AE 09356

To My Prayer Partners;

Many of you have asked about the situation here in Afghanistan from an eyes on and hands on perspective. Not our liberal media who wants failure, but from one actually serving and witnessing the real world here. So I'll try to paint a picture based on truth and fact while asking you to understand operational security may not allow me to tell everything. BUT I wont put a spin on it one way or the other, I'll tell what I know and deal with.

As a police advisor/mentor, I go to the local district police stations and work with the officers and their command staff. Understand, the way of policing in a democratic society has never been done in this country, one of the poorest in the world. For example, kids are traded into marriage to cover a financial debt by the family when they can't meet the debt deadline. I recently received a memo of a 5 year old girl being traded to settle a drug lord's loan debt to a peasant opium crop farmer. Now she does get to stay at home til she turns ten and then she is the property of the drug lord to do with as he pleases. That is why we are here. I received an intell report of a 16 year old girl who was dating a boy and they were in a sexual relationship. BIG NO NO in this Islamic country. But not a no no for the boys mom to trick her into coming over to the house where three adult males lie in waiting to ambush her, rape and torture her and then murder her. That is why we are here. I had a tribal leader tell the local police chief to thank us for being here, during a recent meeting. He went on to say that if we left, the Taliban would take back over and the progress we have made will be lost and the arcaic way of Islamic leadership will resume. Under that leadership, only Islamic teachings can be learned in school. Girls are not allowed to attend school. All of age males must have a beard or be beaten. Females must be fully covered from head to toe or face torture at the hands of the Taliban enforcers. That is why we are here. I see 2 and 3 year old children walking around in the middle of the winter, (20 degrees or colder) with no shoes on their feet, carrying water from the central water pump back to their home. Yes, 2 and 3 year olds. Ask an American child to make their bed or clean their room. And when they don't, we take their TV and video games away. These kids don't even have shoes on their feet. That is why we are here.

I am told daily how thankful the people of Afghanistan are to have us here. They know the good ole US of A will not desert them and leave them to fend for themselves. They are hungry. They are thirsty. They are unclean by American cleanliness standards. Yet they are humans, wanting to better themselves, and NEED the help of the greatest nation on this planet, to see their dreams came true.

Yes we have suicide bombings. But those are not the Afghan people. The radicals that kill and maim the Afghan people, In the name of Islam, are insurgents from Pakistan, Iran, Egypt and other countries. When a suicide bomber kills dozens in a crowded market, they are killing innocent men women and children, trying to scare us away from here so they can impose their tyranny and terrorist tactics to rule with a heavy hand. THAT IS WHY WE ARE HERE!

Have we lost brave young men and women in this country, the answer is yes. Should their death be in vain? God forgive us if we let that happen. Do we meet or know someone that has lost a loved one? If you do, thank them for their loved ones scarifice and let them know it was not in vain. These people need us.

It's against the law to discuss Christianity in this country. But maybe, just maybe through our actions as Christians, they can see the love of Christ. That may be the only exposure they ever have to our Lord and Savior, is an American who has the freedom of religion. The freedom to stand against the wrongs of the world and try to right them. One that has Christ in his or her smile and a kind gesture of love for a fellow human. No they do not know Christ here, nor can we preach it. But maybe if we live it, they can see Him in us. That ladies and gentlemen is why we are here, and why I left my family and The Perrys, to try and make a difference.

Thank you for your prayers and I hope I have been able to shed some light on this mission we call "Operation Enduring Freedom" God bless you and God Bless America.

Your Brother in Christ's Love,

Mark "Bigdawg" Campbell

Well, I have got to be going and getting things packed for our 11 day trip. The dryer stopped 5 minutes ago and I hate wrinkles, so I am off and running!!! LOL Remember to pray for daily! We love you and appreciate you love and support you show to us daily!

Under Grace!

Congratulations to Brian Elliott being selected as pianist of the Perrys. Brian will make a great addition to the Perrys. And him being from Georgia he will be able to support Libby with the #1 Bulldogs this year. Libby and Brian can team up against Tracy. Would love to be on the bus during one of those football games.

I saw THE PERRYS a couple of weeks ago and I was very pleased with Troy Peach as baritone.
Almost Morning is a wonderful song and I believe the CD will be one of my favorites for some time to come. I have really become a fan of THE PERRYS over the last few months. They have a great sound and are such warm people. Already wishing I could see them again!

I've seen them several times since Troy became baritone and he is doing an AWESOME job. He is a part of the music he sings- it is in every fiber of him and you can tell it.

Almost Morning is an awesome CD- there is not a bad cut on it! I love the title cut and also 'Feel What I Feel' both of which Joe wrote - what messages!!! Now his other song on the project has one of the catchy lines that gets stuck in your head and you can't get it out, 'Dying Is A Day Worth Living For' - what a concept!

"Prior to a Prayer" a Kyla Rowland song will bless your socks off! It takes us all to that place we have often been when we are at the end of our rope prior to a prayer! "Did I Mention" and "Unworthy" both feature Libbi and are terrific songs as well, heck there isn't a bad cut on the CD!

I'm going to see the Perrys this Sunday (5-17)
If the new CD is on the table, it's going home with me.

I had to up my star ratings cause 5 isn't enough!!!! Seriously no songs you will skip over on this project, it is truly one great song after another. I love 'Did I Mention' by Kyla Rowland and "If You Knew Him" by Joseph Habadank & Rodney Griffin. But "Prior to a Prayer' has such a great message of hope and "One Is Unworthy' is also awesome!!!

I LOVE the Perrys! Not just for their singing but for the Spirit that exudes from them! I always leave one of their concerts totally uplifted and encouraged. There are times that I almost (& I do mean almost) wish they would maybe just maybe cut out a song or 2 and let one of them preach...Tracy or Libby. I've talked to Libby after a concernt at the church I was attending at the time and I tell ya' can she preach! I've heard and sung many gospel songs in my life but one that ranks right up there is, "The Potter Knows The Clay" - WOW !

I love that!!! Its amazing to see how they evolved over the years...I love Libbi and the group...every time I listen to their music or go see them in person you can feel the anointing and that is what matters...not jumping around on stage and dancin and that other bologna!!

It's time to get serious about winning souls!!!

Great job, guys. Joseph is a very impressive young man. I wouldn't be surprised to see "If You Knew Him" take The Perry's to the top of the charts once again. A real testimony song.

Here's another rendition of the same song by The Perrys with a better audio track:

What's not to love? It's what it's all about.
