Look at all the weight loss going on in here. It is downright inspirational. Congrats ladies, I think it is wonderful. Well, I just put on a stretchy size 6 this morning. That is great but how I am losing is not. I am not eating enough. Over the past few weeks I have had some major dental work don, 6 fillings and an emergency root canal. Because the work was so extensive, it has take weeks for most of the pain to subside. There is still some but it is manageable. Couple that with my son's new desire to be held at all times, and I am just not eating that much. I am trying to watch this but it is hard at times. Now both kiddos, and truthfully me and hubby, are sick with a virus so I have been busy caring for them. It will all balance out in the end. The only bad thing is I have not been working out. I just have not been able to do so. I am happy to say I am not beating myself up over it which I would have before. I remind myself, one day at a time and one season at a time. This season is hard but it is more fleeting than I realize. Aren't they all? Have a great day. Karen

I remind myself, one day at a time and one season at a time. This season is hard but it is more fleeting than I realize. Aren't they all? Karen, Just this morning, I was pining over the days when Aaron was itty bitty. He's just 15 months old and I miss his tiny babyness so much already! It was such a stressful time for me, having to hold him nonstop and having to bounce him and rock him to soothe him, but there are moments I would give anything to be right back there, stress and all. See, today I can look back and see that it was just a season and that it had an end to it. Back then, I was so worried that it wouldn't ever end, that I would have done anything to bring it about. Life is so full of these little ironies, don't you think? Back when I was 20, I thought I had plenty of time to do all the "fun" stuff after I lost the weight. Today, I am closer to 36 and wondering where all the time went! If I could go back, I certainly wouldn't have wasted another moment and I would have done everything with so much gusto, fat or thin, I would have LIVED my life. Regrets are something I have too many of already; I'm not looking to add one single extra! SO, yes, life is just a series of seasons, and they pass all too quickly. The main thing is to remember to take a breath and enjoy each and every one of them as much as possible, even when the joy is not apparent right away. One day you'll be looking back wondering where it went!

That's why I don't like the show anymore.. she was in poor health.. overweight or not.. what happened to her what not just getting tired.. I don't like how they push these diabetics and people with stress injuries on these endurance challenges.. but that's my opinion. Someday's someones just going to drop dead and that will be the end of the show.

How is everyone doing out there! I hope well. Well, my weight is falling off but not in a good way. I have had major dental problems for over 4 weeks (6 fillings, 2 root canals, and two infections one of which is severe) so I can barely eat. This concerns me because my son is nursing. As a result I have been eating ice cream and more caloric pureed soups in order to keep my calories up. Also, I have not been able to exercise because the pain in my mouth, jaw, and facial area has been so severe that any extra movement has been excruciating. Tomorrow is my last root canal and I pray that this will do it. It is believe that this should be the end. Then I can get back to business as usually. It has had a good side. I am learning to praise God in all circumstances. That has been hard but it is a good thing. I hope everyone has a great day. Karen

Karen, All is well here - my weight is coming off slowly, but surely. What more could I ask for? I am doing what I am capable of doing, and that is enough, God is really helping me see that. I am so sorry you are going through so much with dental work. I have a bit to have done, myself, and I am such a fraidy cat that I have to have the gas and a pill to relax me beforehand. I need to get back in after January and get the rest of mine done. I am praying for you today.

I am at 145 today, so that is .8 loss from last week... Hey it all adds up. :) On vacation this weekend. I know I will eat more, but I will also be walking a lot. Monday we drive home and my goal is to get to the gym on Monday night to get back into the swing of things. Don't want to miss a beat. :) Glad hear that everyone is doing well!

Well, I'm off to another new start, this time for good, I hope. I went to a therapy session today, where I learned about facing reality and "radical acceptance". In other words, I can face reality and accept the facts that: 1. I've lost over 100 lbs. before. 2. I gained about 25 lbs. since October 2008. 3. I need to lose those 25 lbs, plus more, in order to become more healthy and fit. 4. I need to get back on the moderate/low carb eating plan which helped me lose those 100+ lbs. in the first place. 5. I need to exercise and finally, 6. I need to do it TODAY! So far, I'm off to a good start. I need to just keep going and praying for God's guidance in this difficult journey. Watching Biggest Loser tonight also helps me to stay motivated. Above all, however, pleasing God is what matters to Him.

Sorry, I have been away. I saw the good news, Miss Giggles needs a smaller size suit. Sounds like a wonderful adventure to buy smaller. Tell us all what happen when you went shopping for a new suit! quote:

Melissa, I am so proud of you for facing what you need to do and doing it. It is a hard, long road. Each day brings very little feedback so it is super hard to be in it for the long haul. I think it is a great idea to start fresh and go again. I have said before that I love the fact that God's mercies are new every single day. Not to be cheesy but each day really is the first day of the rest of our lives. The past does not have to hold us prisoner. We have been ransomed. I am doing good. I still won't get on that scale but the clothes are going down in size. I had a rough 6 weeks but I am back in fray so to speak. I have been doing great with my eating. But the big thing is my exercise. With two small children it is impossible for me to do everything I think I need to do so I decided to stream line my work out. Now I run 3-4 times a week any from 2-3 miles (I hope to get those miles up soon.) and I do the following 3 days a week. 1. Push ups (the girlie kind) 2. Squats 3. Lunges 4.Lat pull down 5. Short ab routine that includes plank pose. It is a hard, fast, sweat drenching workout. I love it. I really get my money's worth and get back to kids before the meltdown. I then stretch really well. I want to work in Yoga a couple of days a week soon but I do what I can. Congrats on everyone's continued efforts. Step by step and a little at a time and we will get there! Karen

I have been running but really need to add the weights/resistance back in. I have not gained any weight but my middle is somewhat bloated still which is making my clothes shopping difficult. I bought a bigger sized suit which I really didn't want to and am hoping I can get it taken in somewhat. I tried on a nice pair of dress pants and of course those were a whole size smaller.
