ORIGINAL: mamajennleigh My hubby drove all the way to the next town to pick up a trampoline someone was giving away. He came home after working all day yesterday and put it together for me to jump on it with Aaron while the other boys were all at practice! I felt like a little girl the instant I made my first bounce. It was so awesome! . . . although I felt like I was 100 years old the instant I woke up this morning - my legs and back are killing me LOL! What a nice story to share. Thank you.

My husband man is so so so so very patient. As a 1.5 month newlywed I've had some weepy moments where I've just been overwhelmed at the transition from "single independent woman of freedom" (as I'd call it), to wife, homemaker, and mom. He's so patient, and always asks that I talk about how I'm feeling so he can understand better. And this morning, I ran upstairs to get my phone before leaving, and noticed that he made the bed. I asked him about it downstairs, and he said it was "just in case I wanted to take a nap after work". (Knowing that his daughter would be with grandparents after school).

Oh, FunBetty! You remind me. When my present husband and I married, both of us widowed, both of us each having a teen-aged boy and girl, we put all 6 of us in a house with one bathroom, very differing backgrounds, very differing ways of discipline, and very differing personalities. The first years were, to say the least, Very Difficult! But you know, my husband showed more patience with me than he felt, I know. There is a lot to be said, too, for his way: not giving in to what i am sure he felt at times. Thank you, FunBetty! You and your sweetie are fun to watch in these early days of your marriage.

My DH told me last night while talking, after I informed him he gave me those butterfly feelings in my stomach while he was holding my hand and rubbing my arm during our Revival service(of course in a married couple sort of way), that he wrote the word "Love" on my arm in cursive with his fingers. Of course I was into the message so I didn't notice. Wish I would have though, it would've melted me to pieces. [insert smiley with heart pounding out of it's chest here]

ORIGINAL: Covaan_Meshuga I was sitting there eating and looking at my husband, and i wondered why in the world someone would give up their freedom and take on the responsibility of having another in their life for decades, so i asked him. He was puzzled that I would ask, but when we found each other, I was certainly NOT looking for a man: I was very happily single. He simply replied that he loved me more than the idea of being single. Maybe that would not be a big deal to some of you, but I have made strong demands of him -- commands! And he complied. I admit that he was not the man that i thought he was when we married, but he has put every effort into becoming that man, and he is now that man. I thank G-d for that. Wow, do I ever! Thanks for sharing, Covaan...I needed to hear this, this morning. *huggles*

This may not matter, but if it does, RomansChapterSix may be male. I am not sure why he was posting here. I made assumptions re who would post here. Oh well.

My other post re RomansChapterSix was removed, so I will also remove this one. 1. RomansChapterSix is a male. 2. Don't send email to anyone through CW unless you want that person to have your own email address.

My husband sends me a text message every morning that says "Good morning Love!" It is a little thing but I love getting it.

I'm a SAHM. My husband works hard long hours, but he never EVER makes me feel like it's 'his' money. It's always ours. I really really appreciate that.

My DH and I had fallen back in a rut this past weekend and were not talking to each other for almost 2 days. I finally got him to talk to me about things. Unfortunately it was probably our worst talk in all of our 16 yrs. together, more like a screaming match at least for us because we never really have heated arguments that much. Anyway, after we both had our say he sat down next to me and held my hand and then just hugged me and told me "I do love you!" All I could do was cry at that point; it was like he just held me while I let all my emotions out. I just have to remember how God has blessed me with him when the devil tries to point out his so called "faults or bad qualities". I know I'm supposed to love him wholly and completely and that's something I've been praying and working on. I've already noticed the results of those prayers. For instance the other night he started snoring and normally it would strike a nerve in me and just keep me awake until I nudged him or something to get him to roll over so he'll quit snoring, but instead I found it to be cute the other night and half way sat up to look at him while he was peacefully snoring away in dreamland, I just smiled and laid back down and quickly fell back asleep.

spotnapp - the moments you just described are what will make your marriage what you pray it will be. Hugs to you.

Spotnapp, what you wrote is a lesson from G-d. I am not pulling the "pity me" card, because the following was a long, long time ago, and I have since remarried and have been remarried 22 years. But I must write that i so appreciate what you wrote from the other side of having lost a husband. Nothing like losing them teaches deep, deep lessons, and way too many never learn what you have until it is too late. But the first thing I missed when he was gone was a second opinion -- something I probably chaffed under when he was alive. I missed so many things, some of which I am sure irritated me before I knew i could lose him. I also missed his pure craziness -- his whacked-out humor. They can be lost so suddenly, then it is too late for all the lessons that should have been learned while they lived. But you have learned something major. You may have to learn it over and over in your lifetime, but you are so far ahead of those who will not learn -- not even in 26 years together. Bless you, bless you, bless you -- both of you.

Flintejae & Covaan_Meshuga, First off my deepest and most heart felt condolences to the loss of your husband Covaan_Meshuga! I know even after all these years it must still seem like a raw wound on your worst days of missing him. Thank you for such kind words of encouragement! I can definately see and feel God's hand at work in our marriage and each of us in our own personal walk with Him. It is crazy to think I was thinking of divorce just less than 2 months ago, after I found out my DH was looking at porn on the internet, but I now see it as a blessing that God used to open both of our eyes to the precious meaning of our marriage. May God bless both of you & your families richly for the ministering of your kind words!

G-d bless you, sweet lady. His was a problem more men deal with than we women imagine, but it is not one that cannot be overcome. Indeed, things can come out better with that issues being dealt with. I know, too.

I'm just ITCHING to express this! I'm 17 weeks pregnant. I got up this morning to take a quick shower and as I was showering I got sick. (And, here I thought the morning sickness was done with.) I felt terrible, but was a little relieved that it happened in the shower. As I was sitting there wishing for a cup of water I saw my husbands silhoute. I asked if he could get me a cup of water and THERE IT WAS. He already had it!! He had gotten it before he came into the bathroom. It just melted my heart. And, as I was finishing my shower and getting out I heard him in our son's bedroom. He changed his diaper and played with him as I got myself together to function. Isn't that thoughtful and sweet? I'm just so blessed.
