Those are good. I have always wanted to hear that done in SG. Here's my picks

past: Rosie Rozell, Bill Shaw, Bill Baise

today: Ernie, Brian, Jay Parrack

future: Harold Reed, Matt Felts, David Sutton

Who would you pick for three leads?

How about the 3 Screaming Tenors?
ERnie Phillips,
Johnny Parrack,
Gary Sheppard.

That would be a show!

Man, I just hate to hear "screaming" tenors!! I like bigboytenor's list!

Interestingly, I believe that these three considered doing a project together, but various commitments got in the way and it had to be put off.

I once thought about Larry Ford on the same stage with Pavarotti.

Sadly, that'll never happen.

I would love to see an event or video project featuring:
Jeremie Hudson (Imperials)
Jerry Martin (Dove Brothers)
David Phelps

a key here is the ability to blend in a pleasing sound. I come up with two lists:
Johnny Parrack, Erinie Philips, Eric Philips
this list comes from the facts that father and son should blend very well. At times it was hard to tell the difference between Johnny Parrack and Ernie Philips esp. when they were singing with the group (not a solo part).

Another group could be:
Lily Weatherford, Bobby Clark, and possibly Tommy Atwood.
This would be another style of tenor singing.

Have to agree with you there. When David was first with the GVB he came to our church in Texas to do a Christmas program with our choir. Man oh man can that boy sing! I have yet heard "Oh Holy Night" since he did it that compares.

I would say the front covers of a southern gospel 3 tenors cd would have a either bleeding ears or howling dog as the picture. But hey, won't no one like it but the people. I for one would LOVE a cd like that. It would rank up there with the Jay & Johnny Parrack duet cd.

I'd have to go with Brent Mitchell, David Sutton, and Wes Hampton.

What a sound these three irish tenors could produce. Oh wait, does Bill count as an irish tenor?

It looks like I haven't posted picks yet.

I think this combination would be...umm, interesting.

Bobby Clark
Jay Parrack
Archie Watkins

On a more serious note, I imagine I would like the Larry Ford/Bobby Clark/Sherill Nielsen lineup, the classic Kingsmen tenors lineup, the classic Gold City lineup, and the Ernie Phillips/Eric Phillips/Jerry Martin lineup.

I'd also find it interesting to pair up Dallas Rogers, Danny Funderburk, and Mack Clark.

You think Larry could handle Nessun Dorma?

Not a chance.

Hmm...three tenors, eh?
I'm not sure how this would sound together, but how about Jerry Martin, Archie Watkins and possibly John Starnes?
