It's one of my favorite Cathedrals albums, and probably the one with my highest overall ratings:

1. Ride That Glory Train ****
2. Mansion Over the Hilltop *****
3. Hard Trials *****
4. Echoes From the Burning Bush *****
5. I Know My Savior is There *****
6. Acapella Reprise *****
7. I'm Gonna Serve My Lord *****
8. The Love of God *****
9. The Light of Love ***
10. I've Been With Jesus *****
11. I'm Looking For Jesus *****

Cathedral Quartet Radio Days

1. Ride That Glory Train ****
2. Mansion Over The Hilltop *****
3. Hard Trials Will Soon Be Over ****
4. Echoes From The Burning Bush *****
5. I Know My Savior Is There ****
6. A Cappella Reprise (continuation of the previous song) ***** (This part was much better than the part with music)
7. I'm Gonna Serve My Lord ***
8. The Love Of God **
9. The Light Of Love ***
10. I've Been With Jesus **
11. I'm Looking For Jesus ***

The first half of the CD featured some of their best work while the final five songs featured some of their worst. The slower songs reminded me of Frank Sinatra/Tony Bennett/Sonny James type ballads rather than Southern Gospel. Of all the projects done by the final group, I always thought this one was by far their worst one, except for the first six songs. They just did not quite reach the level of excellence on the entire project that they normally achieved.

I know! I just loved "The Love of God" and "I've Been with Jesus"! There's no accounting for taste!

I think that is what makes this thread fun, the fact that we do get such different views on projects. We could be the Siskel and Ebert (or Ebert and Roper) of SG!

Well, I hate to skew your average results. I am a little more likely to give five stars than some of the rest of you, but I love this album. On top of that, I have just been hearing them do some of the songs live on "Deep In The Heart Of Texas" that I got last night, and I've fallen in love with them all over again. I thought about backing off some of the ratings so it would look more realistic, but this really is how I feel about this CD. "I've Been With Jesus" has only 4 stars because there are lots of other versions of it, so it doesn't excite me as much as the less common ones.
(Actually, if Daniel hadn't rated it so highly, I probably wouldn't even have put this on here.)

Ride That Glory Train *****
Mansion Over the Hilltop *****
Hard Trial Will Soon Be Over *****
Echoes From the Burning Bush *****
I Know My Savior Is There *****
I'm Gonna Serve My Lord *****
The Love of God *****
The Light of Love *****

I'm Looking For Jesus ****

Well, it's one of the best projects (and maybe the best) by the quartet that more than any other was selected as the fans' favorite quartet over the past several decades...so we're allowed to say it's good!

Say, all this talk prompted me to revise my ratings one star up. I'd given it four stars because it was short, not because I liked it any less. So I revised it to five stars.

LRBB, let's keep this one running until Monday evening or Tuesday morning, since a lot of people don't log in over the weekend.

I propose that our next project should be Legacy Five's Know So Salvation.

On the Cathedrals Radio Days, i'll save myself a lot of typing and say all songs on that CD get 5 stars. The end.

Well, I missed reviewing the Mark Trammell Trio CD, so I better hurry and do this one.

The Cathedrals are my all time favorite group, and I have never heard a bad recording from them. While this one is not my all time favorite it is still very good.

Cathedral Quartet Radio Days

1. Ride That Glory Train *****
2. Mansion Over The Hilltop ****
3. Hard Trials Will Soon Be Over *****
4. Echoes From The Burning Bush ***** (my personal favorite)
5. I Know My Savior Is There ****
6. A Cappella Reprise (continuation of the previous song) ****
7. I'm Gonna Serve My Lord *****
8. The Love Of God **** (would not get 4 stars except for George's recitation)
9. The Light Of Love *****
10. I've Been With Jesus ***
11. I'm Looking For Jesus ****

As you can see, even though it is not my favorite it still has five 5 stars songs and only one 3 star song. I love the Cathedrals!

Wish I could review this one but unfortunately I don't have it. From the looks of yall's reviews it's one that I definetely need to look into finding.

I just hope not all Cathedrals reviews will be 5-star across the board because that could get really boring.

Nope, they won't! I have some two-stars on some Cathedrals projects, and maybe even a very few one-stars!

Feel free to rate this project if you like! It's not like all the Cathedrals projects we might do would get the same rating.

No, actually I do not have this one. I like the Cathedrals, but I'm not what you would call an "ultimate superfan" of them. I would like to hear this album though. If someone sees one of them cheap online let me know.
