While my Dad was from Rochester, Michigan, he always held a spot in his heart for Little Rock. As a new soldiier in WWII, he attended a church in Little Rock. I don't know what church it was, but my Dad found Jesus there. When he left for Europe he had his new faith, an army issued New Testiment, and a chorus they had sung the day he got saved. Safe am I, Safe am I In the hollow of His hand Sheltered o're, Sheltered o're In His love forever more No ill can harm me, No foe alarm me For He keeps both day and night Safe am I, Safe am I In the hollow of His hand. When he returned from the Black Forest. He went to Detroit Bible college and Seminary and became a Pastor. Thanks Little Rock.

ORIGINAL: DeeAnnBailey Seriously, I don't know what our team is going to do this year, I hope it will be good cause I'm a Bama fan but I'm still upset they let Mike go. Truth is there will never be another Bear and it takes more than 2-3 years to really build a football program so at some point they are going to have to let someone have time to do that. WOW...DeeAnn...you and qtman think better than those folks in Bama running that program! Ya'll should be on the board down there. You are so right saying that there will never be another "Bear"...(by the way, BEAR was from Fordyce, ARKANSAS!) My uncle is a Bama grad. I'll pull for u when you play Auburn...but Sept 15th? Hogs will surf the tide!...again.

Little Rock is a great place to find Jesus! There are many people here that love Him...and serve Him. I am priviledged to pastor a group that loves Him dearly (The Highlands Church, sbc). I would like to know the name of the church that reached your Dad. Our's was not established until the 50's... but there were some great congregations here in the 30's and 40's. I hope to help bring The Prophets to central AR real soon. On behalf of the folks here in LR: "You are welcome!"

RAZORBACKS 46 - Troy State 26 A little sloppy (first game stuff)...great 1st and 3rd quarters. BLESSING Report from the Game!!! I sat next to a man who was saved at one of my stadium crusades 23 years ago. He was 7 at that time...He had not seen me since...nor I him... He now has a 7 year old son of his own (who was with him)...teaches High School and plays in the band at his church. The blessing is not that he remembered me, but that 23 years after his conversion he is serving Christ and spreading the Gospel. I think I will blog about this whole experience. God will use all who make themselves available. Even us old HOG fans!

I hope bama wins though, simply because I don't want their back against the wall when the Porkers come to town. If we get our all-sec wide-out back in time, it will be a long day for the tide...without Monk in the line-up, it will be wide open. But I like our chances with D-Mac, Fleet Felix and the H-Man! Hogs roll as we are at NQC !!!

That may be the right name. The Florida Boys must have really liked to eat, because over the years, they kept hiring Cooks to sing the tenor part--Coy, Johnny, and Greg.

ORIGINAL: pauljackson Daniel...I don't remember Johnny Cook with FB? Where was I? I might be wrong, but somewhere I read that he was there briefly in the late 80s or early 90s. Come to think of it, I just checked his website, and it doesn't mention the Florida Boys, so whatever article I read that mentioned him was probably wrong (unless it was so brief it wasn't worth mentioning).
