I just feel like I need to say a great big, "I TOLD YOU SO!" When I got the Everyday People CD, I just could not get past song #2, "God will Pass By." I popped it in the CD player as I was driving to NQC 2007 and I just kept hitting the replay button. I just love that song. It's the kind of song that is musically great, but also says the words I needed to hear! Sometimes I feel like a pest for asking Gerald to sing it amost every time I see them (but I ask anyway ). Obviously, there are a lot of people that feel the same way. I've watched it make its move on the Singing News chart from #39 in July, to #14 in August and now to #7 in Sept. Congratulations, GV!!!

I like that song too. The album is under rated. At the rate it's going, it will be at # 0 in October.

I wasn't gonna mention that the mountain was really lost and y'all couldn't find it. Glad you made it before the concert started. That is a hard Church to find. We like to never have found it the first time we went there. And we still drive by it most of the time when we go there. It sits in a crazy location just off the main hwy.

It was wonderful seeing Jacob in concert with GV for the first time (well, my first time...he's been singing with them for over a week now!). Many thanks to Bobby for saving me a front row/center seat! The guys were "right on" last night, firing on all cylinders! They started out strong with a fast one, He'd Still Been God. Now, I figure that if Jacob can "spit out" all those words as fast as that song goes, he's gonna be just fine! I watched him closely and he didn't seem to have any problem at all. In fact, like Diana (see her post in the Recent Concerts thread), I watched him during the entire concert and I never detected any hesitation or effort involved in remembering the words/music for so many "new" songs. Gerald told the audience that Jacob was a little nervous, but if he was, he "bluffed" his way through it very well! Jacob seems to be very outgoing (actually, he is a crazy man!) and he sings with a smile on his face all the time. He is an "animated" singer. No hi-jinks (I could see Gerald grabbing him by the back of his collar if he ever tried anything wild on stage!), but he is expressive with his facial features and with his hands as he sings. Very, very pleasant to watch. And, of course, Gerald is already picking on him (but we ALL knew that was coming, didn't we??). Among other digs, Gerald calls him a young 'un (he's only 24), "white" (compared to Jason's darker Indian complexion) and "runt" based on his small stature. Y'all need to pray for Jacob as he adjusts to Gerald! LOL Diana listed the songs they sang in her report, but since I never take good notes like she does, I'll just copy her list to let you know what they sang..... He'd Still Been Good, Tell Me the Story of Jesus (medley), Paid In Full Through Jesus, Amen, We Are So Blessed, God Will Pass By, Little Is Much, You'd Better Hurry Up, A Mighy Fortress, Faces, It Means Just What It Says, 'Til the Storm Passes By, and In Times Like These (medley). It was a very good set and left me satisfied, but I would always accept more! I was thrilled that they did sing my favorite song, God Will Pass By. After the concert, Diana and I got to spend quite a while with Gerald, Rodney and Jacob and we had a great time! And, you can see my new avatar! On a personal note, I was delighted to see Melvin (clout) and Margie Klaudt. They're such dear people! And I got to sit next to Jason's M-I-L, Sandy. I was curious to see how she would react to the group sans Jason. She is a very gracious lady and she seemed to really enjoy the concert, too. I met another lady, Janet, that I have seen at a lot of local GV concerts and I also saw her at Jason's Farewell event in Morristown a couple of weeks ago. I got to talk with her and found out that her house was destroyed in the tornadoes that hit Georgia in March. What a shame, but God is sustaining her through the rebuilding process. I'm looking forward to seeing her again at PraiseFest. Looks like the next time I'll get to see GV is at NQC. Can't wait to hear the new CD "Not Alone." And Gerald mentioned another CD of "favorites" would be out in the Fall, too. But, I'm irritated at myself because we were having so much fun playing around last night, I forgot to ask about Gerald's CD "Until Now" and when it will be coming out. If you remember, he delayed it last Spring so that they could release the Greater Vision Kids CD, and then they had to hurry to get Jason's CD out. I'll let y'all know if I find out. Edit: Dinana and I were just talking and we realized that this is the first concert that we've been to that GV didn't sing "My Name is Lazarus!" I can't believe it!!!

ORIGINAL: GVfan I guess they're just mixing it up a little. I'd bet there will be several songs that featured Jason that they might not do really soon. I could be wrong, but some songs won't be the same without Jason! They're probably in the process of deciding which ones to do / not do do now.

Good Review thanks, I cannot wait until NQC so I can buy their new album, I am listening to "God Will Pass By" and I agree with you it is my favorite off of their new album as well. I also really love Above and Beyond.
