I'll admit it --- I'm not a very patient person! I could've waited until Thursday night when we see GV to get the two newest CD's - but I didn't! The special Jason Waldroup project and the Go and Tell by the Greater Vision Kids that I ordered came today. I've started listening to the kids' CD and it is delightful! Rodney wrote all of the songs and the liner notes say that Missy Waldroup did the vocal arrangements. Each of the kids except for little Jonathan Waldroup were featured on one or more of the songs. I think kids of all ages (even geezers) would enjoy this CD immensely!!!

Dinana brought her Kids' CD this morning so that I could listen to it today (gotta return it on the bus ride home today ). The Kids CD is GREAT! And I would say that even if my screen name wasn't GVfan! I especially like the song "Don't Make a Monkey Out of Me." It is right on! The kids do a teriffic job, the harmony is very good and it is just plain an enjoyable CD. And the words are great for adults, too! The CD cover says a split-track CD is available and I'm gonna check it out for the children's choir ministry at our church. This is good stuff, y'all! You need to get this CD.

She also brought the Jason CD, but I haven't had time to listen to it yet. Me thinks I've heard all of the songs MANY times before. But it will be very nice to have an entire CD featuring Jason. And I especially like the fact that a good portion of the sales price will go to the Jason scholarship fund.

(I'll get my copies of the CDs tomorrow night when we see GV in concert at Rome, GA. Thanks, Sissy, for letting me have yours for today!)

Yes, we get to ride the Cobb Community bus into Atlanta together and then we go on separate buses to our final destinations. That's the only reason I agreed to try it. Now instead of talking on the phone while we're driving in, we sit next to each other and chat!

But in the afternoons, she figures we've talked enough and she listens to her MP3 player! So, I do, too!

Very funny. I'll talk to you if you'd like.

You know, it's funny. I was so hot to buy an MP3 player 1 1/2 yrs. ago, but I hardly ever used it. Now that I'm riding the bus, I get to hear so much more music than I ever did before! I love it!!

Dinana and Iris. Guess we'll be seeing you and your bride! It's a fairly small church, so we can't possibly miss each other! I hope we don't have bad weather. The last time we went to Rome to see GV at this same church, it was raining...HARD!

Oh, sorry. You asked who she was taking to Rome, not who she was seeing there.

You know, I think I'm mistaken altogether. Like the old hymn says, "With my sins forgiven, I am bound for Heaven, Never more to Rome."

I should probably just go to sleep. But I'm having too much fun.

I did end up calling it a day not too long after that. I don't usually let myself get that off-the-wall online.

Enjoy the trip!

I got to see "my boys", Greater Vision, tonight. They were absolutely teriffic. I just can't express how much enjoyment and blessings I get from their concerts. The church where they sang has hosted GV for 6 or 7 straight years, so they are not strangers here. Everyone enjoyed the concert and everyone had a chance to say their goodbyes to Jason. I noticed that after the concert Jason was signing his "13 Years, 13 Great Songs" CDs for folks (including Dinana). I hope they sold a LOT of them. I got a picture of Dinana and Jason and she got one of Jason and me. Hope they turn out well enough to post.

Oh, and guess what? Jason mentioned that he doesn't normally read these forums, but he did get online and look at what people were saying when it was announced that he was leaving. I'm proud that all of the posters had very nice comments to make about him, and I hope he was really encouraged by the expressions of how much people have enjoyed him with GV and that we all wish him well in his new ministry.

Dinana took plenty of video and I know she'll post some links on here when she gets a chance. Gerald sang my favorite song, God Will Pass By, and Dinana videoed it. We're really hoping that the lighting was better and that it will be a lot better than the last video.

Dinana took her usual notes, so I'm sure she'll be posting more details about the concert in the "Recent Concerts" thread.

Oh, another biggie. Rodney told about his father-in-law getting saved about a month ago. Praise the Lord! I'm gonna post something in the Official Prayer Request thread about it. Be sure to go there and read all about it!

I'm looking forward to this weekend when I get to see GV two more times!

Donna, was Roy Webb with GV at your concert? Gerald sent out an e-mail that he was travelling with them this weekend so we should get to see him in Nashville.

Yes! Roy was with them. He didn't play but he was helping at their product table and we got to talk with him for several minutes and Donna got a picture of Roy and me. I'm trying to process at least the God Will Pass By video and get it posted for Donna at her MySpace this morning. I've got a busy day, so I may not post my review or more pictures or videos until tomorrow.
