We had a bit of discussion previously about a message board lunch at NQC. (For you practically minded folks, let me make that perfectly clear: I'm talking about the people from the message board getting together for lunch, not NQCers gathering to eat the message board.)

It looks like it's either Friday or Saturday. What works for you?

On Friday, I'd really like to see the Celebrity Softball Game (10-11:30) and the showcase that includes the Collingsworths (12-1). I'd be up for lunch at Freedom Hall (or another agreeable location) at 1:15 on Friday if Friday is the consensus.

If it's Saturday, I'm good with 11:00, ending by noon for the Pianorama. There's a half-hour break (1:45 to 2:15) between that and the Hoppers' 50th Anniversary Celebration, and we could fit in a somewhat quick lunch there if nothing else works out.

So here are the times I'm proposing:
1:15 PM Friday
11:00 AM Saturday
1:45-2:15 PM Saturday

Which of you are interested, and which of these times work for you?

I could do the 1:15 on Friday - if that one place in the lobby by the Exhibition Hall is going to be open. I know we can't get to the food court until 4:00 in the afternoons. The Saturday times would be out for me because I'll want to be early enough to the Pianorama to get a really good seat and I don't want to miss the second half of the Songwriters' Showcase! I think you'll need more than 30 minutes, too, and the Friday time would be the best for that.

I think another idea would be for anyone who wants to meet at the Singing News booth in the afternoons around 5:15 or 5:30 to just chat for a little while before the 6:00 evening sessions.

Friday at 1:15 will work for me, I'll be doing softball and then Jim Cymbla but I'll sit near the back (though it pains me to sit anywhere other than the first 5 rows- to meet up with you guys I will) so I can slip out in time for this. That should give me time to catch part of Mike Speck too after the lunch.

Also whoever suggested the meeting at SN booth in the evenings, I'll do my best to be there.

And Dinana, I'm with you I want a good seat for Pianorama. Maybe we can 'hatch a plan' on Friday at the board lunch to work together and get some great ones!

I vote for Friday lunch (I should be there by 1:15) or Fri or Sat. at the Singing News table before the 6pm evening sessions. Saturday lunchtime I'll be doing whatever I can to make sure I get a good seat for Pianorama!!!!

Will have to see what's going on for us. We leave to head home Saturday morning, but we also have Grandma with us, so she has a say in what we do as well... Also, if eating in KYFEC isn't possible, Cracker Barrel is right outside the parking lot...
We definitely go to the Softball game (gotta be front row, usually above dugouts! I'm short -- gotta see!), after that, it just depends.. The only showcases we usually go to are in Exec west, and the Vintage Qt.... just depends...
Anyway, I will let everyone else decide, then if I can come, I will, if not, I will try to meet everyone at some point in the Exhibit Hall....
CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep unfortunatly it will be just me but i will definatly be there. i wish my wife could go also but that will take a supernatural act from God. lol Like a babysitter at our house for 3 or 4 days cause the kids will be in school already.

I'm not sure what all's gonna be happening for me yet as we now have a group of 4 guys going! I should definitely be able to meet you guys at the SN booth though.

Well he should not be hard to spot. He has no face. I think I could find him without Dawg.

Nope. It's my brother, myself, and two friends and we're gonna party!! The two friends have never been to NQC, and the one has never seen a concert so it should be interesting. They both love recorded SG though so I'm not afraid they won't like it.

How about getting together after one of the concerts one of the nights and going to Steak N Shake? I know it'll be late but Steak N shake is open 24 hours and the activities don't usually start in the morning until 10 AM anyway?
