Just to make sure we're all still clear, the SN Boards "Meet-N-Greet" at NQC is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14 at 1:15pm in the main lobby of the Exhibit Hall near where the showcases are held. If anyone knows different, PLEASE feel free to correct me!

I will have special lanyards & SN Boards nametags available at The Diplomats' booth (#325-327) beginning on Monday evening. We may have them available in other booths as well, during the week. Someone suggested seeing if we could place some at the SN booth. Any word on that? Keep watching this thread for further details!

I think if all the members of the SN message board here just wear a big mexican sombrero, it will be easier to spot them!

If we all get the name tags/lanyards, then we'll be able to meet and greet each other as we're walking around or even sitting in the concert hall. I am SOOOO looking forward to that this year!

Now that I could get into doing! I always thought they'd sound better with a bass on "I Got Me A Home," but I might stand out as a sore thumb. The ladies' harmony is second to none I've heard, and Reggie rolls it!

Maybe you could, but not me. A lead singer has to have a certain flair to make in a black group.

Just take the Perry Sisters instead.

I never really got into the Perry Sisters. I like mixed groups, but an all-female group is usually not my favorite. I do love the ladies' harmonies such as the Saddler ladies though.

I agree that in order to be a lead for the RSF you'd have to have some real soul! I can sing with some soul, but not as much as a black person!

Personally, I like the RSF. There's a certain goosebump-producing energy that black people bring with them to the stage that is second to absolutely none.

I have only heard 1 or 2 songs by that specific group, but I sure agree. I'll get in youngartist's good graces by saying that the first time I heard BF&A's "King Jesus" on the Gospel Greats, I thought it was some sort of black gospel ... there's an incredible amount of "soul" or whatever you like to call it on that song. (The choir's not black, is it?)

Good observations, Amy. If you get BFA's "Live In NYC" you'll see that most of the choir is actually black/hispanic. But BFA are all white, and yes, they sing with powerful soul. Maybe that's why it went #1 and garnered a Dove Award.

For those of you who don't like it on recording (that's understandable), don't knock it 'till you've seen it live. This song put them in the spotlight - like it or not.

To be honest, I don't typically listen to songs "like that." But that one I can't help listening too.

It has that "feel" before the choir ever starts singing!

The first time I heard the Crabb Family, it was a song featuring Jason and for a long time I thought they where a black gospel group.
