Don't worry Dinana. Jeff Stice would NEVER be interested in the travel schedule that L5 has!!

I thought the project I referred to was mentioned in one of their weekly e-mail newsletters a while back but I can't find it. I guess I could be imagining things but I swear I read somewhere that they had completed the studio work for a project that would go on sale at Celebration 2007. That's going to drive me crazy until I figure out where I read it.

The answer is in the March 8th eletter, it was in an answer to a weekly question.

"Do you have a song that you have sung that means more to you than any other song?"

Another tough question... there are so many great songs and it would be impossible to pick one as the all-time favorite! That said, there is one Legacy Five song that has probably been requested more than any other... that is "I Stand Redeemed" from the "Strong in the Strength" project, which was our first single release in 2000. We get requests for that song almost every night, and we haven't been singing it for a long time.

However, we're happy to inform you that we just finished recording tracks for our upcoming new CD titled "Know So Salvation" and it will feature a new version of "I Stand Redeemed". The new CD will be released at our Memorial Day Celebration in Nashville and we should be able to start singing that powerful song again real soon!

Thank you!!!!

That has been driving me crazy all afternoon. I was certain I had read it somewhere but I was really starting to question my sanity when I couldn't find it.

I owe you one for that!!

You never know. The Inspirations sang regularly at a theater for several years in the 80s, with occasional concerts elsewhere...much like Triumphant. But after five to seven years of that, they couldn't stand singing in the same place day after day after day after day any longer, and just look at their schedule now.

Brian, don't blame yourself too much...I think I mentioned the idea first, so Dinana was probably just as upset with me.

I must admit that the idea popped into my mind when I was watching him play at Roger's funeral.

I will admit that I was not sure how to take it, but decided to see the humor in it! I still say it's not a bad idea!!! (((((covering my head)))))

Not sure, look in your phone book, there is usually a zone chart.

I doubt her phone book would tell her when Roger died.

But I suppose you were answering the second part of the question. (Tina--Houston is in CST.)

Thank you all for your Roger Stories!! I hope if some of you are just lurking that have met or know Roger, whether you be fans or fellow performers, I encourage you to jump in and post your memory here!! Roger is beloved of all of us, so please....tell us yours!!

Now, wouldn't it be nice if somebody would do a biography on Roger Bennett?!?! What would it be called? In His Grip: The Life Story of Roger Bennett? Or, Whispers In The Night? Or even Midnight Meditations: A Glowing Story in a Dark Disease?

Be watching for an email from me...

Daniel-
first let me say that I appreciate your Cathedrals tribute page. I have just a couple of corrections that I noticed. I hope they help.
1. Look at Roger's year of birth
2. Danny's is 1954 not ???? (Even though I am sure he would prefer it your way)

Hope this helps. Keep up the good work!!!

It took a few days (since updating that website is a somewhat involved undertaking), but I fixed the pages. Thanks!

Yes, she knows it was 8am (actualy I thought I read or heard(funeral) 8:30) so all she needed to know what zone Houston was, bingo, the phone book!

I talked with Mark Trammell on Saturday evening. He said that Debbie continued to be the picture of grace and diginty and God's grace once again was proving to be sufficient as she faced each step. No denying it is hard on all of them but God is continuing to comfort and lift them up during each task. Giving them the grace they need at the time they need it.

I was soooo thankful that God showed grace to Debbie thru Roger even on his deathbed--she got to see his eyes (Glenda McDonald said they were still sparkling even then!) and see him mouth "I love you too" to her! He even gripped both Debbie's and Glenda's hand, and this all the while when he was supposed to be sedated enough to be unconscious!! God is greater than Dr.s' or medicine, and He showed this kind mercy to Debbie!! I was sooooo thankful that God worked it out for me to see the whole funeral, beginning to end, and esp. to hear Glenda speak! God really comforted my heart with that funeral! I liked Phil Hoskins saying so much, I had to put it in my sig!!

Otherwise, I would be worse off.....I'm still not taking this real well. I just can't believe he's gone..... I had said to myself a while back that if anything should happen to Roger, I know I would be tore up......and I was!

Besides, Debbie, Chelsea, Jordan and Doug need more grace bestowed on them that what we need.

The midnight meditations post said it would be broadcast once and did not indicate that it would be put on DVD.

Yeah, that's what I understood. However, I look forward to the future posts Debbie promised about the *God things* that went on in the room the days before Roger went to Glory....

I do too.

I was one of those who was hoping that the service would be released on DVD since I was unable to access the website but then the thought occurred to me that I was being selfish. Debbie has much more to think about and concern herself with than releasing a DVD.

Would you want to market your husband/wife's death/funeral for the whole world to see?
