We saw the Freeman's last night in Columbia, Tn. They have some new stuff that is pretty awesome. They sang alot of old songs. The Lighthouse, Children of the Dust and He'd of Still Been God. Misty sang 2 new ones. Her new song is "Cinderella". If you haven't heard it yet, you'll love it. To close out the concert Dianne Sherrell sang. It was nice to see Becky Simmons. It was a great concert!!

BTW - I did get recognized last night as the superfan of the year by the promoter when I picked up the door prize I won!!! Most people didn't know what he was talking about, but there were a few of us there that post or lurk on the forums.

Had a wonderful time last night with Voices Won and The Crist Family. The attendance wasn't what I had expected, but the Lord blessed and we had a good sanging. Watch for Dinana's post, I think she will have some video of both groups for those of you that haven't seen either of these groups as well as those that have seen the groups.

It was a wonderful concert last night with Voices Won and The Crist Family. I love the way the Crist Family uses different groupings of their singers for different parts of songs - sometimes it's just the ladies, sometimes a duet of Tami and Rich, Jr., different trios, etc. I didn't take notes because I was busy getting videos, but along with Beyond the Great Beyond and Living with the Light On, I especially enjoyed He Is There - a slow, beautiful song. And I really enjoyed Joy's Gonna Come in the Morning and The Anchor Holds. Well, actually, I really enjoyed all of the songs that they and Voices Won sang. And I loved the ending when the two groups combined to do Canaan Land Is Just In Sight --- now that was a full stage!!! I haven't had time to reformat and post all of the videos, but here's a teaser of part of the final number. (You'll see that JimC had to move further from the stage to get a picture of all of them!!) Canaan Land Is Just In Sight I'll have the rest of the videos reformatted and posted tomorrow.

Oh, my goodness! What a great time we (Dinana, JimC and me) had at the Greater Vision concert last night! We got there very early (4:00 pm for a 6:00 concert time) because we expected an overflow crowd and because really bad weather was forecasted. We had gotten into the sanctuary and settled into our seats when the severe weather siren went off! We were in the midst of a torrential downpour, and a "Tornado Warning" was evidently issued by the National Weather Service. The guys had already set up their equipment and finished their soundchecks and Jason and Rodney were in the bus. Gerald was standing next to the piano talking to a few friends. And then the siren started blasting!!! Gerald asked what the siren was for and when someone told him, he headed for the bus to warn the others. All the people in the sanctuary were headed to the basement and the siren stopped. Someone reported that Rodney and Jason had come into the building when the siren started screaming, and that Rodney had brought their laptop computers in with him! The concert was wonderful, with the church's choir starting it off. They were really good! And they also had a band that played and it was really good! Then Greater Vision came to the stage and we had a marvelous concert. They sang for a little more than 1 1/2 hours, so I was very happy! When I leave GV's concerts, I am always so amazed at how good they are and how much of a blessing I receive. I cannot put into words how happy I am after one of their concerts!!! And, there was a huge added blessing last night. I got to sit next to Marjorie and Melvin Klaudt. What a dear couple they are! Mrs. Klaudt and I traded GV/Gerald stories (including his "big hair" when he was younger!) and just had a great time. Mrs. Klaudt never seems to run out of stories to tell and it was just so much fun listening to her. She and Mr. Klaudt will be at PraiseFest again this year and I am looking forward to seeing them. And, if you're lurking, , HI, CHIEFIE!!!! Y'all be sure to look over in the Official Prayer Request thread for a Prayer Request for the Klaudt's daughter.

Had a WONDERFUL night last night with The Booth Brothers!!! They sang to a very very squeezed in and PACKED church in Richardson, TX. The crowd, despite being squished in like fish in a can, was very lively and very excited! The concert started at 6 p.m. with the doors opening at 5 p.m. We were there waiting before then to rush for a good seat...and so was everyone else! By 5:25 p.m. the whole place was packed and buzzing with excitement. When the guys hit the stage, they were greated with a great and rowdy Texas response and they sure fed off of it! They really "showed out" the whole time and we ended up getting about 2 solid hours of great singing from the Booths with only about a 10 minute break to take up a love offering and for everyone to stand and stretch. Michael was particularly wound up, but when isn't he so?? I didn't take notes of what songs they sang, but they were great. Of course they sang my favorites, Look for Me at Jesus' Feet, Hallelujah Meeting, Blind Man Saw It All, Still Feelin Fine and lots more! It was, of course, great to talk with the guys afterward as well. Finally bought Jim and Melissa's love songs album and have been enjoying it ever since! All in all, a great night of great singing and laughter...wish I could do it again tonight!

We stayed to help them load out, and I can tell you, they really enjoyed Macland. I'll post my pictures as soon as I can get them uploaded. Picasa is having some issues today.

I love your avatar, Jim --- you must have a great photographer!! (or a great camera!) (or both!!!) Here are the videos from last night. I'm still working on the ones from Saturday - there are more of them and it takes quite a bit of time. Sail On Over to the Other Side - with Mike Leming and the Macland Choir Oh, My Lord, What a Time - Macland Choir --- and their pianist was fabulous! We Are So Blessed - not quite as good as on their professional video - which caught GVfan singing with them!! Living In Canaan Now - fun shaped note song.
