I had another great southern gospel weekend. On Saturday evening and Sunday morning I saw Triumphant. We went to the little middle-Georgia town of Unadilla Saturday. Many of the people at the concert had never heard Triumphant in person and they such got a treat that evening. They've started doing the song You Gotta Love It in their program and I sure enjoyed hearing it in person. They also sang Don't Let the Sandals Fool Ya; One Day at a Time; Forgave Me, Saved Me, Raised Me; Goodbye, World, Goodbye (David and Jeff - piano and harmonica); Sunday School Medley (the audience really got into singing the "Daddy sang bass, Momma sang tenor parts!!); The Old White Flag; Jeff Stice - When They Ring Those Golden Bells and Hallelujah Chorus; The Great I Am Still Is; Jesus Saves (Jeff - offertory); Long Black Train; When Morning Sweeps The Eastern Sky (a capella); God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (a capella - the audience loved the first a capella song, so they sang this one, too); a medley of several older songs with just piano; Amazing Grace (David and Jeff); People Need the Lord; and He Is. It was a wonderful service. Triumphant also sang about 30 minutes at two worship services Sunday morning in northeast Georgia. They did mostly the same songs and were very well received the Concord Baptist church where they sing every year. I'll be putting some video on youtube tonight from the Saturday concert.

Then, as JimC mentioned, we saw The Old Paths Quartet last night. They didn't have the bass guitar and drums last night but Joe Cox was really tearing it up on the keyboard! This service was at an elementary school less than 2 miles from my house, which was especially nice after all the driving to see Triumphant! This group is really good and I enjoy them more every time I see them. They were very tired from their weekend travels but they gave it all they had for this worship service. Here's what they sang:
Hallelujah, I'm Going Home - VIDEO
Little Is Much - Jeremy Peace has such a pretty, pure tone on this song
Oh Bless His Name - VIDEO ; when you watch these videos, let me know if you think their lead singer (Tim Rackley) sounds like Shane Dunlap. I think he's an outstanding lead.
Somebody Touched the Lord - VIDEO
Goodbye, World, Goodbye (medley) - great keyboard solo by Joe Cox - VIDEO
I've Missed Out - VIDEO
He'll See You Through - written by bass singer Brandon Barry - beautiful song - VIDEO
Look for Me at Jesus' Feet - Jeremy was great on this one, too
Living In Canaan Now - this is the one Jeremy hit a double high C on - but I didn't catch it on video - but I will next time!

The videos came out GREAT, Dinana.
Here's the PICTURES I took

Maybe it won't be long my friend. I am on Bobby's mailing list and will keep an eye on his concerts and find one to attend.

I am about 2 hours away from Home Plate. They always have some great talent there. I have seen the Dove Brothers among others at the Home Plate. And yes they have good food and great singing.

Bill and I went to the Gaither Homecoming in Nashville. Ivan, Janet, Linda, Ben and EH&SSQ. We also ran into Dion Unthank and Tim, Sally & Becca Quick.Surprise guests included Gene McDonald, Buddy Mullins and Micheal English. I think because alot of artist call Nashville home we get more family members. The GVB with families alone filled one section.:+)
It was a great night. Give It Away was the theme. They gave 5 people $200.00 apiece. They must give it away and then write the story of where and why they gave it and send it to Homecoming Magazine. Pretty cool.

"It's the youtube lady!" It was good to meet you last night. And it truly was a wonderful concert and a very friendly, inviting church.

And spread the word, The Old Paths have just booked next Sunday night at a church near Gainesville (Finally! We've been trying to get them up here for a year and a half!). It isn't on their website yet, but as far as I know, it's at Mt. Carmel Baptist in Lula, GA.

Thanks for all the videos!

It is NOW.

We have just returned from the BOOTH BROTHERS Homecoming in Lakeland on Feb 1st and 2nd. It was wonderful!! We had 2nd row seats for both concerts. We got to talk to the guys, meet alot of new people and the music was just perfect.
This past weekend we saw the DIPLOMATS twice!! And I LOVE them!! We had them at our church in November and they were awesome. We saw them at a new place in Winder, GA called Harry's Gospel Music Buffet. The food was great and they are going to have some great groups coming up. On Sunday night we went to a church in Gainesville, GA and saw the DIPLOMATS again. There was the sweeeeeetest spirit in the church, and it was wonderful to see so many people touched. We got to know all the Pearsons better ( Michael and Joseph, too!) and Steve and I just LOVE them. If they are in your area,,, GO!! You will be TOUCHED!!

I got three more videos posted from this weekend. They're from the Triumphant concert in Unadilla. Here's where you can find them:

Forgave Me, Saved Me, Raised Me

When Morning Sweeps the Eastern Sky - this one is a capella

Medley - includes When I've Traveled My Last Mile (He'll Hold My Hand), Mansion Over the Hilltop, How Beautiful Heaven Must Be, The Eastern Gate, and How Great Thou Art.

They're great--especially the acapella one! I've wanted to know what that one sounded like live for a while.

I loved it when Clayton told David to move because people couldn't see him - - did you catch that? Clayton is really a hoot --- all the time!

No--I could hear that he said something, but I couldn't tell what it was.

I saw Triumphant in Hueytown, Alabama last night. It was a really good concert and I got some good pictures which I'll try to get posted tonight. I didn't get any video of this concert. I already have videos of most of what they sang. I just sat back and enjoyed - didn't take notes or anything! There was a great crowd, especially considering that it was Valentine's Day. The couple that sat next to me had not seen Triumphant before and they really enjoyed it. I could tell that the gentleman was impressed when TQ came down from the stage to shake hands with the audience during one of their medleys and Eric shook his and his wife's hands.

They gave out a bunch of door prizes and some of them were Valentine related. (I won a prize of a scented candle from Home Interiors.) I'm very sleepy today but it was well worth the trip!

Bet you had a good time last night. Looked for Donna at Woodstock but did not see her. Greater Vision started the conference off, which was a surprise as usually they wait until about half way for the special music. They did a great job. All three guys were in black suits with matching ties. They really looked good. I finally got Rodneys book and got him to sign it.
Tomorrow night will be another good night.

I didn't get there! I was in a 3-day (intense) class and could not get away from downtown at a reasonable hour. It was after 7pm before I got home. It probably would have been 7:30 before I could have gotten to Woodstock (without dinner......and had already had to skip lunch ). And since I didn't know when GV was singing, I decided it just wasn't gonna happen for me. I'll see "my boys" Sunday night at JimC's church!

Saw Gold City last night and what a great bunch of guys! As Danny referred to them as 'the second generation' I chuckled - I've heard and loved both generations and this group is certainly doing a great job!!!

Jonathan was wired as usual and poor Aaron took all the usual Injun jokes in stride. Jonathan got a bit wound up and gave us a small 'mini-sermon' right before 'Preach the Word' and talking about the services in Woodstock the previous night when they provided music.

They had a great mix of older and newer music and I didn't get any pics because I had the precious baby with me so my hands were full!
