Last Saturday night I went to the GLORY TO GOD concert in Yukon, OK & saw The Arnolds, The Talley Trio, Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Dove Brothers, & The Booth Brothers. It was an awesome night.

They opened with a group number, TO GOD BE THE GLORY, featuring Jim Brady of The Booth Brothers. The Arnolds opened the evening with Lauren Tallely joining them on GOD IS FAITHFUL.

The Talley Trio were next & they sang BROKEN ONES, TESTIFY, THE HEALER, RED LETTER DAY, & others. The Dove Brothers did GET AWAY JORDAN, I CAN PRAY, & others. Jeff & Sheri sang OVER & OVER, LIFE IS GOOD & GETTING BETTER, ROSES WILL BLOOM AGAIN, SHE LOVED, PRAISE THE LORD, & Charlotte did BOOMERANG.

The Booth Brothers were up last & opened with HE SAW IT ALL. Michael Booth sang the fire out of THE NIGHT BEFORE EASTER & LOOK FOR ME AT JESUS' FEET. Ronnie sang I WOULD even though he was having respiratory problems. They sang STILL FEELIN' FINE & others.

The second round consisted of each group doing 1 song & then all of them came back together to sing HOW GREAT THOU ART featuring McCray Dove & I'LL FLY AWAY featuring Lauren Talley.

It was an awesome night!

I Agree, this concert was GREAT! I helped with this concert, and I am a huge Crabb Family fan, as well a Big Crossway Fan. Both groups were awesome. I was blown away by Adam and Terah, and WOW is the only to say!! I think fans of The Crabb Family are going to Love Crabb Revival. They bring a new approach to old songs, but still have that great SG Crabb sound. They are all so annoited, and it is such a great feeling to know that so many lives were touched by that concert. Alot of hard work went in to, and to see God show up and work like he did, makes it all worth while.

I am back from a wonderful holiday. Happy New Year everyone!

I rang in the New Year in grand style last night in Lincolnton NC. I had a wonderful time. The concert was Crabb Revival and CrossWay. The concert started at 7:30 pm and both groups sang right into the New Year. They had a balloon drop at midnight. It was a really great event. Not only that but the Lord showed up in a mighty way!!

*CrossWay - They sounded great last night. Having all the extra time to sing, they did a collection of current and older material. They also did a lot with just the acoustic. Matt McFarland is one the best male vocalists on the road today. He really shined on "Long Arm Of Love". Other highlights included "He'll Pilot Me", "When I Hear The Thunder", "Surrendering", "Hallelujah Side" and "Took It All Away".

*Crabb Revival - WOW!!! As much of a fan as I was of the Crabb Family, I think I enjoy Crabb Revival even more. They were outstanding! I guess many could see them as Crabb Family Lite but I think a smaller version of what was a larger group adds more to the program. You never had the chance to see Adam shine with the Crabb Family. He is now front and center as emcee. He really knew how to read the audience and lead the program. His vocal renditions of many of the Crabb classics were great. Terah took the lead on several other Crabb classics, most notably "Please Forgive Me". The band is still the best in the business. Their renditions of "Something Going On In The Graveyard", "The Reason That I'm Standing", "The Cross" and their first original song "You Amaze Me" were highlights of their set.

After they rang in the New Year, both artists took the stage and closed out the night with Adam Crabb and Matt McFarland taking the lead on "Midnight Cry". That placed came unglued. What a power house vocal performance with those two. It was a great close to a wonderful evening. If last night was any indication of how concerts will be in 2008, then I am in for a good concert year!!

We saw and heard Driven last night and boy were they good! I love those guys! Jason, Alex, Chad and Will are super young men that really made the best of a 'distracting' situtaion last night. The folks were they were seemed to be great folks but there always seemed to be stuff going on while the guys were singing (raffle tix, refreshments, offering, etc) but these guys never missed a beat. There was a person saved last night and that's more important than anything!

I can't wait to see them again!

We got to hear Driven again. They were at a small church near our house and it was a great service. Jason not only a great vocalist but is great at understanding the crowd and knowing where to go in the service. Will is a fantastic bass, with unbelievable tones for his young age. Alex did a tremendous job on tenor. And Chad as all good baritones was the glue that held the sound together. Their harmonies were tight, their delivery was smooth and they kept the focus on the Lord.

Here's a post from Joey (TQ_Fan_4_Life). Forums are acting goofy for him tonight.

Hoppers well what can I say. They performed the song I was listening to when I gave my life to Christ and that got tears in my eyes. I LOVE Jerusalem. and to hear it live was amazing. Been a fan of Hoppers for many years and Kim and Dean, Connie and the band loved my testimony. In loved theirs as well. I highly recommend them in concert as I will try to see them more and more.

A Thursday night, under the threat of a winter storm (which never materialized), 400-450 people made their way to Fullerville Baptist Church in Villa Rica, GA, to see the Diplomats and the Booth Brothers.
Sadly, the Homeland Boys were not there, due to the death of Mike's father the day before.
Danny Jones was with us, as well as our favorite lurkers: Nancy, Peggy, Jeanette, and the Midnight Grannies.
I rode down there with Bobby and Carol York. This was her first concert since October!!!
Jchaz, Dinana, and Mr.Scripture were also there.

It was a great concert. Both the Diplomats and The Booth Brothers gave it everything they had. This was my second time to see the Booth Brothers, and they were awesome.
The Diplomats just keep getting better and better. Rita did a couple of songs from her new CD. Jesus Held On To My Hand just about brought the house down.

We had to leave at intermission. I look forward to hearing about the second half.

I got a few PICTURES

I've got the Booth Brothers videos posted but the write-up isn't done and won't get done tonight. Sorry. You can view the videos if you want to. Here are the links, or you can use the youtube link in my signature to easily see all the stuff I've loaded out there. The sound on the videos I got of the Diplomats wasn't good for some reason, so I didn't post them.

Tell Me the Story of Jesus - starring JimC walking across the front!!!

Here are my comments from Thursday's Diplomats and Booth Brothers concert:

The Diplomats were very, very good. I love the way Miss Rita sings, Joe Brown is a wonderful bass and I really like Jimmy Pearson, but Cory really steals the show for me! He is really a great singer and musician on the piano and bass guitar. (I guess that's why groups at NQC ask him to guest perform with them playing bass on the main stage.) They sang:

I Believe in a Hill Called Mount Calvary - featuring Cory!
Come and Dine
Had It Not Been - featuring Cory --- it was WONDERFUL
This Is Just What Heaven Means to Me
If I'm Still Here in the Morning
Lonesome
Road - featuring Joe - they did this one as a male quartet with Michael Lott joining them on baritone. Michael switched from piano to bass guitar and Cory played piano on this one.
I'm Winging My Way Back Home - still the male quartet
Jesus Held On To My Hand - from Rita's solo CD - very good song - I sure wish this video had turned out better

The Booth Brothers were also in great form. There were quite a few people in the audience that had not seen them in person and this was a good concert for their first time! This group has some of the prettiest harmony out there and when they do a capella songs or parts of songs, it is just awesome! Here's what they sang:

Tell Me the Story of Jesus - gorgeous!! (Video available for this one! See previous post for the link or use the link to youtube in my signature.)
Feelin' Fine - I love Ronnie's mellow voice on every song they sing.
His Grace is Sufficient for Me - I love this song so much and they sing it so well. They did an a capella verse and chorus at the end. Just beautiful. I just doesn't get any better than that!!! (I actually wrote that in my notes at the time!)
Night Before Easter - Michael is wonderful on this!
I've Been Changed
Tears Are a Language
- GREAT song! Jim was featured on this one. Great job!
He Saw It All - the crowd LOVED this one - duh!!
Look for Me at Jesus' Feet - featuring Michael - video available
I Would - this is off of Ronnie's solo CD and it's a great song; I've been hearing it on XM radio but I don't know if it's been released as a single or not. Let me say here that the solo CD has lots of great songs on it and I highly recommend it!!!
Where No One Stands Alone - this had a really simple accompaniment and was breathtakingly beautiful; incredible harmony!!! It's from their Trails to Paradise album, so if you were thinking of not buying the album because it's so "Cowboy", you should reconsider!!!

During the second portion of the program, all of the singers were on stage and the members swapped in and out on different songs. A really fun way to do it instead of just a grand finale with everyone!
Joy Comes in the Morning - the Dips
The Eyes of Jesus - Booth Brothers plus Joe Brown, Cory on keyboard
God Walks the Dark Hills - everyone! I'm especially disappointed that the video didn't turn out on this one.
Child of the King - everyone - Joe Brown was featured.
Still Feelin' Fine - I'm not sure where in the program this one really was - I was busy taking a video and forgot to write it in my notes, so I'm just putting it in here!
Have a Little Talk with Jesus - everyone
Beulah Land - Jim Brady sang the verses
Lighthouse - Jimmy Pearson sang the verses
There's Just Something About That Name - Rita led on this one and the audience joined on the end.

This was a wonderful concert and I enjoyed shopping and talking to the artists who are all so friendly!!! Michael Booth's new solo CD was available for the first time Thursday. It's a wonderful, eclectic album that I very highly recommend. I might just do a review on it soon.

The Greens were great last night. The music was excellant as it alway is with the Greens. The church was packed with only a few empty seats. Dasiy looks good and has that glow about her that some pregnate women gets. Tony did not look all that bad, but did not look good. With the kidney failure he looks about the way you would expect him to. I'm sure he will have the kidney transplant as soon as Dasiy is able.

He mentioned the bus blowing the tire. It will cost about Forty thousand to fix the bus with Thirty thousand of that coming from insurance and the Greens paying Ten thousand more. They will be leaving the bus in Nashville today to have it fixed. Their bus driver is the bus driver/sound man/key board player/and singer. From what Tony told they are all very lucky to be alive. It could have been very bad if they had gone just a few feet in the other direction.

We did ask Tony about Tim. Tim is doing well and is now pastoring a church at Ocean Isle.
