ORIGINAL: GVfan I was at the Triumphant concert last night with Jim C and Dinana. I've seen Triumphant many times, but this was BY FAR their best concert ever. I can't find the words to describe how each member of the group performed, not only vocally, but spiritually. Each had something to say about their salvation and their walk with the Lord. Eric gave a very special alter call. Triumphant sang a lot of the songs on their newest CD and Clayton absolutely brought the house down with his rendition of a "bluegrass" song. (I can't remember the name of it, but I'm sure Dinana will post it later.) All the other guys tried to make the audience believe they DIDN'T like the bluegrass song, but they clearly DID enoy singing along. Just a great concert and such a blessing! Oh, and by the way. Something else happened that was pretty unusual. They had drawings to give away three CDs. Dinana "won" the first draw and I "won" the third! Now with 500 or so in the audience, what are the odds that BOTH of us would be drawn?!?!?!? The promoter of the concert knows us both, and he couldn't believe it!! WONDERFUL EVENING! WONDERFUL EVENING pretty much sums it up. I don't know how much more I can expand on that. This was my first time to see Triumphant, and it FAR exceeded anything I could have possibly imagined. I was blown away by their sound and energy. These guys have performed together for several years, and it shows. It is also obvious that they love each other, AND He about whom they sing...... I left feeling that I had not only been entertained, but MINISTERED TO. Praise Tabernacle lends itself to a very casual environment, and during the intermission I went to the fellowship hall to devour a couple of hotdogs. I sat down, and found myself between GVFan and Eric Bennett, and across from Jeff Stice. How much better can it get???? Dinana had the privilege to bring Eva Mae Lefevre, which was an added blessing to the night. She is such a gracious, lovely lady. Needless to say, this will NOT be my last time to see Triumphant.

Well, I'm jealous!! I just barely got to speak to Jeff and Eric and didn't get to speak to Clayton, Scotty or David at all! I did get hugs from Jeff and Eric, though!!! I really don't have time to give a full report now, but here's the list of songs from Gold City and Triumphant. Both were great concerts! Gold City: I Came To See A Soul Saved Look Who Just Checked In In My Robe of White Josh - piano - How Majestic Is Your Name Not Anymore After a While --- Aaron was SOOOOO good on this -- the floor was shaking with the low bass notes! Without A Word I'm Not Giving Up Teach Me, Lord, To Wait Im Rich Truth Is Marching On Josh - Offertory - I've Never Been Sorry When I Get Carried Away Heaven Tere Rose a Lamb Get Up, Get Ready Triumphant: Someday We'll Know Don't Let the Sandals Fool ya Delivered Forgave Me, Saved Me, Raised Me He Rescued me The White Flag Jeff didn't play a solo; instead, he played while Eva Mae sang "Without Him" The Great I Am Still Is three piano and harmonica selections as we were re-assembling after the break (David and Jeff): There Will Be Peace In The Valley Goodbye World Goodbye Amazing Grace Long, Black Train Smack Dab In The Middle of His Will He Will Be Sunday School Medley - yes, they came out in the audience and shook hands!! I Can Only Imagine People Need the Lord (background during altar call - Tenor, Lead and Baritone - Eric was at the altar) I Know I'm Going Home

I remember Dustin as a child, Steve is the only one that I haven't known long but he quickly became a fav after seeing him a few times with MTT!!!! Once Upon A Cross is my fav song of 2007!!!!!!!

No, I didn't see it. What was it like? They aren't coming near me again for the rest of the year, I think, so it probably won't spoil any surprises for me. If you'd rather send it by private message or email, that's fine, too. Maybe they'll do it on June 2 when they are in Gainesville, with Greater Vision and Triumphant.

It shows pics of Jesus as a baby, Jesus as he has been beaten, as he is carrying the cross and being nailed to the cross. It is just very moving and shows you the true picture of "Once Upon A Cross" Jim maybe, I don't know if they just got it or if they are just using it where there is already the equipment to do so (if so, let's rent some equipment!!) I'm also waiting for them to stage Steve's song off the CD, I really love that one but haven't heard it in person yet!

This sounds similar to that.....I'd love to see it.

I'm sure I've seen Four Days late but at the moment I can't remember a single scene. Brain dead I guess!

From what I've read Valerie Ellenburg, Heather Day and Greg Day (currently of the Ruppes) will be joining Michael and Kim Lord of Lordsong in September. Lordsong's current soprano (Amber Baltzglier) is leaving the group in September. It sounds as though come September Brenda will be retiring the Ruppes as a group.

I don't know how I forgot this but at Sunday night's concert Greg Bentley was there and sang with a church trio and Leah Parsons Sexton (Squire & Linda's daughter and Dr. Ralph Sexton's daughter in law) also sang. They all did a tremendous job. MTT was at Eric's home church Trinity Baptist in Asheville and that is also where Mark and LaResa were members when he sang with the Kingsmen.

Last concert I attended was this past Thurs night, I went and heard the Crabb Family and they were very good. I know many don't like their newest project Blur The Lines, but they did an awesome job and we had CHURCH! They did most of their new stuff in the first half but took requests and did many of their best SG hits the second half. My youngest son Tyler was with me and absolutely loves Adam Crabb as they are harmonica buddies, Adam gives him tips and encourages him everytime we see them. Please go out and see them before they leave the road as 1 unit, they are a great bunch of young people and encourage them as well. Their band is absolutely top notch!
