Have you ever heard of Heritage Homecoming at the Bethel Baptist Church of White Rock? It's in Dallas and they have a group in every month. I've heard it's a really nice place . . . just wondering if you've ever heard of it or been there.
The DVD is AWESOME! I love it when groups put out videos to go along with there CD's!

No...I've never heard of it. We've only lived in TX for like 2 or 3 yrs. now, so I'm not real familiar w/ anything...lol. I do know where the Terrell Performing Arts Center is...They have a lot of SG concerts there. I'll have to get more info. on that Heritage Homecoming...probably be fun.

Oh, and here is a link to my video:

I live about 20-30 minutes from Dallas. I live in Fort Worth...In fact, I SO want to go to their PraiseFest thing...but it is really expensive. I don't need lodging...lol...but even the session tickets are pretty expensive. Well, I'm gonna start saving money for it anyway...I doubt I'll be able to save that much, but it's worth a try. I just hate to miss it when they are practically in my backyard...ya know!!

The LORD puts L5 in your backyard and ...

Sounds like a sign to me.

Think about it, someone else posted they were going to be spending $800+ dollars to go see L5. All you have to do is come up with concert ticket money.

Take in laundry. Go to the concert. Really.

Sweet!! I can't wait to get it!!! Hey, how'd you find out when the release date before L5 released it?
I'm REALLY excited to get it, but I'm pretty sure L5 makes more money when you get it directly from them. So this is just me, but as hard as it'll be to wait, I'm gonna wait and get it from the guys themselves. I'd actually love to get it in person, but I'm not entirely sure when I'll get to see them again... *sniff*
I would LOVE to go to the Praisefest in August, but idk if that'll work out or not. We're still praying about that one.

That's a very reasonable price for a CD/DVC combo package. Schweet.

I know! It's like, you have a nationally known group come who knows how many hours and you only let them sing one hour?!?! That makes no sense to me . . . it's not like there was another group they had to share the time with!
Yeah, I wouldn't want to have to be a group owner . . . it seems like that could be a really stressful job. It just seems like every time we see L5 he's always busy or he's doing nothing and doesn't converse when you try to talk to him. (I haven't really figured him out yet . . .) I would love to come to Texas for a concert! It would be soooooo cool to get together with you, Naomi, and Katie!
The DVD was awesome! I love the way Scott was filmed at his house, that was so neat! The "special guest" on In A Million Years was my favorite part. The guys looked like they were trying so hard not to laugh!

Well, like Naomi said, I can't properly defend Scott because I wasn't there. BUT... I have to say for sure that he would NEVER purposefully make you feel like that. I'm sure he doesn't mean to come off like that. If you ever do get the opportunity to talk to him you'll see he is very sweet. Don't give up on him yet!!

I'm sure we have NO CLUE how much actually goes into being the owner of a group. I'm sure it can be very stressful at times. I know most of us probably never really think about what goes on behind the scenes.
Like, i'm sure you've all heard the story Scott told about the church in Florida that told him they couldn't pray from the platform, tell personal testimonies, or say Jesus Christ...etc. And he told them the fourth policy was, Legacy wasn't coming to there church.( I love the way he worded that! GO L5!!!!)

Anyway...My point is, It's awesome the way they handled that, but it's gotta be hard to deal with people like that on a pretty regular basis. I mean, I'm sure everyone they deal with isn't a walk in the park. Although, I simply don't get how EVERYONE isn't just crazy about L5!!!

So, when I see someone like that and wonder why they're not being all talkative and folksy, I try to give them the benefit of the doubt because I don't know what they've had to deal with that day. Or they may simply not feel good. With all that in mind, it sure makes me want to pray for them more!

Anyway Lynn, please don't take all that as me jumping on you because I'm not doing that at all! I just started thinking about it and was making a statement in general. I know you're a Die Hard L5 Fan!!!!! lol.

No offense taken at all! I haven't "given up" on Scott, I'm sure he's a really nice guy and has to deal with a lot . . .like that church in FL! He told that story at the concert Sunday night, and I was thinking, "Good for you, we need more people like that"!!!! So I didn't take you post as "jumping on me" . . . and I agree with you, we need to give these guys a lot of grace because not everyone they come in contact with is perfect.

Thank you Katie, Naomi & Lynn for the wonderful concert reviews. You make the rest of us feel like we were right there!
Yes, Scott can be very business minded at times. I've been to several concerts where I just either didn't see him or he's been distant to me as a fan, but that doesn't mean he isn't a good guy. I know for a fact that he has a very big heart and genuinely ministers to ppl. He cares deeply in his own way.
I am very excited that L5 is finally going to be at the Southern Gospel Picnic at Silver Dollar City this year. (It's about time!) Can't wait to see them there this fall.
Seems like an eternity to wait.

I guess fan adulation has it's pluses and minuses. Must keep celebs jumping.

Maybe rather than having him jump up and get his picture taken, maybe one could kneel down beside him or sit in a chair next to him for the picture. It's not like people in ministry are trained seals but they must feel that way some times.

I remember going to Disney World with my Florida family ... there was Mickey looking adorable, so I wanted to get a picture of him with my toddler nephew, so I hoisted junior up and tried to hand him off to Mickey who was havng no part of that. Turns out Disney employees cannot handle children but the kids can stand next to them. Course Mickey can't talk as that would be out of character so I had no idea. Looking back it was a dumb stunt but at the time it looked different. Fortunately I didn't get hauled out of the park for trying to get my nephew a picture with Mickey. What's seems simple ain't always.

Your pictures are awesome Lynn, you're a great photographer!! I love them I love to see any pictures, but yours are exceptionally good!! What kind of camera do you have?

I never really take any pictures because I can take frame grabs from the videos(I always say that but I never get around to it). I really like pictures taken with an actual camera better though . I've tried before, but I always have a hard time getting good pictures because I hate using a flash in concerts.. but it's hard to take one without a flash because they can turn out dark or blurry.. and if you're sitting too far back the flash doesn't work very well anyway!!! Geez.. maybe I should stop worrying about it and just let you take the pictures for me .

Thanks Naomi! I have a Pentax digital SLR . . . and a load of lenses!!! (I love my camera.) I know what you mean about the flash! It is sooo distracting! (And it kills your battery.) Most of the time I can get my settings right so I don't have to use a flash, but there is always an exception to the rule at some concert!

Hey, I was thinkin, you might want to email those pics in to Legacy Five just in case they want to upload them.. they're really good pics and I've seen pictures from regular concerts on there website before. They may or may not use them, but It's worth a shot!

We do appreciate you, Scott. None of us will forget the marvelous support you generated on behalf of Roger Bennett during his ordeal with cancer and that you were there for him.

What better way to celebrate this wonderful young man than to harken back to his start with the spectacular Cathedral Quartet.

When I watch those videos, I can't help but think two things....

One....There will never be another combo like George and Glenn. Men that lived what they sang about, brought other quartet members along like they did, and did it so consistently for so long. That camp meeting video takes me back....i saw it for the first time about 3 or 4 months before I got saved in 1993. That was my first intro. to SG music and the reason I still follow L5.

Two....Scott Fowler is living proof that when you stick to the stuff, God blesses you. The world might say "he's paid his dues" and that is true to an extent, but only the Lord knows his heart and we've seen the fruit of that over the years. "...for whatsoever a man thinketh in his heart, so is he..." I can't think of the address of that scripture and I'm not sure it's an exact quote, but you get the point.

Good videos you all. A very nice "tribute" for Scott's birthday.
