Have you ever heard of Heritage Homecoming at the Bethel Baptist Church of White Rock? It's in Dallas and they have a group in every month. I've heard it's a really nice place . . . just wondering if you've ever heard of it or been there. The DVD is AWESOME! I love it when groups put out videos to go along with there CD's! [/quote] No...I've never heard of it. We've only lived in TX for like 2 or 3 yrs. now, so I'm not real familiar w/ anything...lol. I do know where the Terrell Performing Arts Center is...They have a lot of SG concerts there. I'll have to get more info. on that Heritage Homecoming...probably be fun. Oh, and here is a link to my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGrJ7u6Gdwk

Original: RogerBennett_Fan I know! It's like, you have a nationally known group come who knows how many hours and you only let them sing one hour?!?! That makes no sense to me . . . it's not like there was another group they had to share the time with! Yeah, I wouldn't want to have to be a group owner . . . it seems like that could be a really stressful job. It just seems like every time we see L5 he's always busy or he's doing nothing and doesn't converse when you try to talk to him. (I haven't really figured him out yet . . .) I would love to come to Texas for a concert! It would be soooooo cool to get together with you, Naomi, and Katie! The DVD was awesome! I love the way Scott was filmed at his house, that was so neat! The "special guest" on In A Million Years was my favorite part. The guys looked like they were trying so hard not to laugh! Well, like Naomi said, I can't properly defend Scott because I wasn't there. BUT... I have to say for sure that he would NEVER purposefully make you feel like that. I'm sure he doesn't mean to come off like that. If you ever do get the opportunity to talk to him you'll see he is very sweet. Don't give up on him yet!! I'm sure we have NO CLUE how much actually goes into being the owner of a group. I'm sure it can be very stressful at times. I know most of us probably never really think about what goes on behind the scenes. Like, i'm sure you've all heard the story Scott told about the church in Florida that told him they couldn't pray from the platform, tell personal testimonies, or say Jesus Christ...etc. And he told them the fourth policy was, Legacy wasn't coming to there church.( I love the way he worded that! GO L5!!!!) Anyway...My point is, It's awesome the way they handled that, but it's gotta be hard to deal with people like that on a pretty regular basis. I mean, I'm sure everyone they deal with isn't a walk in the park. Although, I simply don't get how EVERYONE isn't just crazy about L5!!! So, when I see someone like that and wonder why they're not being all talkative and folksy, I try to give them the benefit of the doubt because I don't know what they've had to deal with that day. Or they may simply not feel good. With all that in mind, it sure makes me want to pray for them more! Anyway Lynn, please don't take all that as me jumping on you because I'm not doing that at all! I just started thinking about it and was making a statement in general. I know you're a Die Hard L5 Fan!!!!! lol.

I haven't "given up" on Scott, I'm sure he's a really nice guy and has to deal with a lot . . .like that church in FL! He told that story at the concert Sunday night, and I was thinking, "Good for you, we need more people like that"!!!! So I didn't take you post as "jumping on me" . . . and I agree with you, we need to give these guys a lot of grace because not everyone they come in contact with is perfect.

Well, I missed the one on Friday b/c I found out about it too late, but I did get to listen to them in the morning and afternoon on Saturday. I was kinda half listen...half spending time w/ the family...LOL! I thought it was pretty neat...to be able to listen live if you couldn't actually be there =)!!!

We do appreciate you, Scott. None of us will forget the marvelous support you generated on behalf of Roger Bennett during his ordeal with cancer and that you were there for him. What better way to celebrate this wonderful young man than to harken back to his start with the spectacular Cathedral Quartet. When I watch those videos, I can't help but think two things.... One....There will never be another combo like George and Glenn. Men that lived what they sang about, brought other quartet members along like they did, and did it so consistently for so long. That camp meeting video takes me back....i saw it for the first time about 3 or 4 months before I got saved in 1993. That was my first intro. to SG music and the reason I still follow L5. Two....Scott Fowler is living proof that when you stick to the stuff, God blesses you. The world might say "he's paid his dues" and that is true to an extent, but only the Lord knows his heart and we've seen the fruit of that over the years. "...for whatsoever a man thinketh in his heart, so is he..." I can't think of the address of that scripture and I'm not sure it's an exact quote, but you get the point. Good videos you all. A very nice "tribute" for Scott's birthday. Musicguy
