Whoa, it's been a while since I've gotten on here!!!! My bad . Life is getting way too busy for me!!lol quote:
We have Winner!!!!!!!!! Tyler the guest speaker was indeed Mike Huckabee, I really wish I could have been there. Mike Huckabee is a ray of light in a otherwise pretty dark and bleak political world... I was extremely pleased when I found out that Mike Huckabee was the guest speaker for L5's Celebration event!!! Totally ideal (and like I said, it simply didn't occur to me!!) I bet it was awesome:) I love Mike!! BTW, I think Tyler should get a prize for that one!!(as soon as I can think of it ) LOL GREAT review Nathan!!! Thank you for posting the long version, I really appreciate that!! I agree with Katie, it's got me toooootally pumped to see them again!!! I can't wait!!!!! I was sooooo excited when I found out that Tim released a new solo project!!!! I wanted him to reeally bad, I can't wait to get it!! HE HAS AN OLDER PROJECT?!?!?! I had no idea(why didn't you tell us Nathan?!?! lol) I can't wait to get that one too!! I just googled it and found it on this website if anyone wants one!! http://www.houseofjubal.com/music/conservative/albums/tim-parton-an-evening-with-tim-parton.aspx quote:
That's too cool about the Facebook thing! I was so excited to find Scott FINALLY got a Facebook!!!!! Thanks for encouraging him to get one! I've wanted him to get one for forever. I was so happy when I found out Scott had a facebook!!! I had checked once a few weeks ago to see if he had one, but when I logged on last week and looked at my suggested friends box, I almost fell out of my chair when I saw "Scott Fowler"!!! I knew he hadn't had it for very long because when I added him as friend, it said that he was new to facebook so it asked me to suggest a few friends for him. I suggested Jim Brady and a few others, but I forget who!! lol I'm really glad he's got one . Facebook is an awesome way to connect with people!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE L5!!!!

ORIGINAL: youngartist Here's a little something about L5 that I'll share: A very close friend and classmate of mine was tragically killed in a car accident on Tuesday morning and it's been pretty hard, but Legacy V's song "Hello After Goodbye" kept ringing in my head - even though I had only heard the song on the internet a few times. I went to amazon.com and downloaded the album and that song has really ministered to me. I'm suddenly realizing why it's an SN Top 10 Song of the Year. You really don't appreciate a song like that until you have to live what the lyrics are saying. Praise God for Southern Gospel songs that minister to the soul through inspiring lyrics. Tyler, I just saw this but I pray you are continuing to feel grace and strength. I have been playing a lot of Southern Gospel lately and feeling God so strongly. It is so true that "Jesus is right for whatever's wrong in your life" and this music is a constant reminder of that.

An amazing Christian guy very suddenly gone... But God has been good, and I thank-you for your prayers and support!

I heard that Frank was leaving L4 and they were looking for a tenor. Does anyone know if this a fact? I know two or three years ago he was going to leave but later changed his mind. How is Frank Jr. doing?

How is Frank Jr. doing? Oh my I sure hope not!!!! Frank just fits L5 so perfectly his chemistry on the stage with the other guys is IMO unmatched among other groups!!! L5 as it is now is their best lineup among the 4 singers they have had yet!!! I really really hope this is not true!!!!!!

I hope that was just a rumor, but it had me concerned with Frank Jr being sick. Like the guys the way they are.

There's an open thread over at Averyfineline going on now that's mentioning several unconfirmed personnel changes, Frank being one of them. Here's hoping it's just a bunch of fluff and nothing else.

The very thought makes me want to cry!!!!!!!!! He CAN'T leave!! He is an awesome individual, and his personality and his singing ability has brought a quality and warmth to the group that they never had with the previous tenors. IMO he IS the best there is!!! He fits L5 like a glove. I could understand why, what with Frank Jr's illness and all. But I pray it is just a rumor. I think that L5 would have sent out a bulletin to let us know first. If they don't send one out before I see them, I'll ask Frank about it at the concert next week. Although I would do everything possible to convince him otherwise, if it is true, I know that Frank wouldn't do it unless he felt he had to. Singing is Frank's calling, and leaving the group is not a decision he would make lightly.

I am sure we shall soon know if it IS true. It is useless to speculate. Let us rather pray for guidance for the Legacy Five team, and that they will ALL remain firmly in His will. That is, after all, all that counts, don't you agree? We are all fans of Legacy Five, and I for one hate change in a group - especially when it is such a wonderful group as at present. But we've been through change before - think of Roger's passing. I am talking generally now - change is inevitable in life. All the best!

Man, I hate rumors. Makes you wonder how stuff like that gets started... Rumours are sometimes started maliciously, but they are often started when someone hears something, or knows something that is not verified, but tells the tale anyway because it feels just SO good to tell people something that nobody else knows. And often, each time it is repeated, an extra little tidbit is added. Rumours are akin to gossip, and are very damaging. It is also very often untrue. Are you all aware of what the Bible says about gossip and the tongue? Check out the following: 1 Tim. 5:13 Ps. 34:13 Ps. 39:1 James 3:5,6 and 8 - and there are many more verses. Forgive me if it sounds as if I am 'preaching.' That is not my intention. I merely wanted to comment on L5girl-N-TX's comment regarding how rumours are started.

I personally would be crushed if Frank left the group, but as I said before, I know he would not make a decision like that unless he truly felt that that is what he should do. As I say over and over, this is where patience kicks in . We just have to pray for Legacy Five and Frank that they will know the Lord's will, and be patient until we find out what the truth of the matter is. It could all be a rumour with absolutely no grounds to it at all, or it could be true. But I'm with Katie, not speculating does NOT mean that I don't want to find out ASAP!!!! Hey did everyone get the L5 update about the July 4th celebration? Col. Oliver North has been added to the line-up!! I wish I could be there for that!! It will definitely be a special weekend .

Simply a fabulous quartet composed of some of the most sterling and talented men in southern gospel. The LORD has blessed them mightily and they have, in turn, have blessed us. We may have lost George, Glen and Roger but they left behind so very many spectacular men to carry on their legacy like Scott Fowler, Ernie Haase, Gerald Wolf, Danny Funderburk and too many others to enumerate here. We are so fortunate to have men of this caliber amongst us.
