texjoy777, Thank you so much for the welcome! Why do you think Dr Stanley seems a predictable choice? There are probably many people who haven't met him or heard him in the flesh, so to speak, and would count it a privilege to meet him. I know I would. Or what about the armed forces' Chaplain? I know Scott Fowler is interested in politics. I suppose it serves no purpose to speculate! This is what I like about the Legacy Five songs: the words. They are always so meaningful and, as you say, there is a Legacy Five song for every situation. God always comes through, and I too, am glad that Frank Seamans Jr is better. All the best!

I may be mistaken, but I thought he was quite frail and a possibly long trip might not be a good idea. I have no idea where he lives. Does he still preach? I may be totally wrong in my assumptions - in which case ... my apologies.

I know Scott Fowler is interested in politics. I suppose it serves no purpose to speculate! I don't know why.. I guess it's because he was one of the first 5 people that came to my mind.. and, since I don't consider my own thought processes to be anything extraordinary , I came to the conclusion that it must be predictable..(and when I say "predictable" I do not mean unqualified or inappropriate, I'm sure he would be a good choice) I honestly don't know much about Dr. Stanley, so I could be totally wrong, but it doesn't seem like there would be security issues if it were him. But saying that they wouldn't tell us who it was for security reasons was completely speculation on my part..... Is it just me, or is this starting to get waaaay to complicated?! LOL . Like you said, it isn't going to much good.. I just have to much fun trying to solve mysteries lol. Billy Graham was also in my first 5 guesses.. but I ruled that out too(for some reason.. I forget exactly why) I think he lives in Pennsylvania.. or West Virginia.. I can't remember. The last I heard anything about him was a few months ago when Greta Van Sustren on Fox News had a special coverage of his 90-somethingth birthday. He's in a wheelchair right now and although he seems to be well in mind, he does seem feeble in his body. I think that we could rule that one out too. I hope I'm not getting on anyones nerves with trying to figure this out! It's kinda fun Just a few more days until we know.

Hey guys bad news from Frank about Frank Jr. it seems his lymphoma has returned, please continue to pray for him!!!!!! A special note from Frank Seamans... Memorial Day Celebration 2009 is upon us. We're very excited about this year's event... it's gonna be great! I certainly don't want to dampen the spirits for this weekend, but I have some discouraging news about my son's battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma. As you know, we have recently been very excited to report that Frank Jr. was doing very well... the cancer seemed to have surrendered to the chemotherapy treatment and his prognosis was very good. This afternoon, we went to Frank Jr.'s doctor appointment... this was supposed to be a simple consultation with the radiologist to prepare for radiation next week... just a preventive measure... to be sure the Hodgkins Lymphoma was banished forever. When we walked in, we were asked to come to the oncologist's office instead of meeting with the radiologist. He reluctantly broke the news that Frank Jr. has relapsed... the lymphoma has aggressively started growing again. Even though his midtreatment PET Scan showed that the cancer was all but gone, in just a few weeks, the lymph nodes were once again glowing with activity. The next step is a stem cell transplant with a much more aggressive chemotherapy treatment. I must admit our cheer has been dampened by the reality of what we're now facing... but I still find myself feeling very grateful. I'm overwhelmed with thankfulness when I consider the relationship we have with a wonderful God that has been with us from the start. I simply don't know how people face something like this without faith in a loving and merciful God. But then there's you... the wonderful folks that support Gospel Music and Legacy Five... all my precious friends who have lifted up prayers for Frank Jr. and sent words of encouragement. We have been so blessed to receive the outpouring of love from all of you. May God open the Windows of Heaven to you for your demonstration of generosity and compassion. We know He is still in control. We have simply placed all our trust in His Able Hands... and today's news does not change that in any way. It may be a moment of uncertainty about what tomorrow holds, but it doesn't diminish the fact that we know the One Who Holds Tomorrow. We rest in His Peace and we covet your prayers as we go forward. God bless... Frank Seamans

That is terrible news about Frank, Jr., but I am glad that they're leaning on the Lord during this time. I wonder if he meant that Frank, Jr. would get a bone marrow transplant rather than a stem cell transplant?

I found out about it last night when I got L5's bulletin, but I just didn't feel up to talking about it at the time. Honestly, I'm on the verge of tears over it.. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't think he's gonna be ok, because I do. It's just that it hurts me when I think about how discouraged and hurt they must feel right now. I'm afraid that the treatments ahead of him are going to be alot more intense than his previous chemo treatments. We just have to keep him in our prayers. The Lord heals by miracles and He heals by medicine too. He probably did mean stem cell.. Hodgkin's Lymphoma can be treated by stem cell transplants alone, or along with a bone marrow transplant. They say that the stem cell is safer.. I don't know. Earlier I was reading about the intensive chemo treatments, I had no idea how bad chemo was. It might not be that way for y'all, but knowing more about his condition has made me even more serious about praying for him. I really believe all will be well!!! I pray that God will give them strength for the journey.

I know the devil must test their faith but we serve a very Mighty miracle-working God!!! Just keep leaning on His everlasting arms!! I can think of several L5 songs that fit this so well. Peace(When I Leave It In Your Hands) Strong In The Strength I Believe That's just to name a few. If you haven't listened to them lately, go listen again. I hope if they ever read these posts they all know how much we love them and are praying hard for them!!" There is another song that fits the situation so very well. It is Roger's 'Don't be Afraid.' I have been praying for the Seamans family - for healing, if it is God's will, for courage to face whatever may come, for strength to endure whatever comes their way, and for comfort and peace during this trial. We are all, as children of God, in Roger's words: 'In His Grip!' He has a plan for and with everything. HE is in control.

I believe Billy Graham is 90 years old now, and very frail. He has been suffering from Parkinson's disease for the past 15 years. However, he has apparently still undertaken a few public 'engagements' as recently as 2006 (or thereabouts). I have not been able to find out much more.

I hadn't checked this thread in a while, but let me assure you I was totally kidding about Obama. And yes, I think Scott could give him a run for his money. In fact, I think Mike Huckabee should be the guest speaker. While we're on the subject of politics, though, I really believe the vast majority of SG fans vote with the GOP. Not that they're all fans of every Republican, or even Bush, but most of them are pro-life and pro-traditional-marriage, and that's why they vote Republican. Some of them may have grown up Democrat in the south, but since that party has gone so far left in the past 2 decades, I think many of them have switched over as well. And good job with winning your first defense case, texjoy. (but at least you agree in principle )

Well guys another L5 concert is in the books for me, I think the guys get better and better everytime I see them!!! It was in Bloomington Indiana at a church where L5 had never been before so they did not know quite what to expect. I had 8 people with me a few of which had never seen L5 in person, we got there almost an hour early. I decided to sit towards the back in the riser pews it was sort of like a balcony. It was a perfect view for recording purposes, after I found my seat I made my way back to the table (of course ) Howie, Tim and Glenn were back there at the time. I talked to Tim for a bit about his new CD, and to Scott and Glenn some about different things. I was waiting for Fowler so I could make my request’s as per usual. Frank then came in when He saw me he remembered me from the other concerts I have been to, even though it had been almost two months!!!! Tim rembered me right off the bat as well (I talk to him on Facebook ) I spent about 10 to 15 minutes talking to Frank about his boy and other things, I told him I would be praying for Frank Jr. and the rest of the family!!!! Well Fowler finally made it in LOL, I went back and entered my request’s lol I had about 4. I then told Fowler that he needed to get on Facebook, and he said Tim had been hounding him about the same thing!!!!! I also talked to him a little about the upcoming L5 projects, he said there are three upcoming one with Greater Vision and The Booth Brothers one of just them singing all new songs and Daywind will release the Live at Oak Tree DVD/CD possibly sometime this year(Tim Thought Maybe Convention Time), Scott said it would have mostly songs off of their Decade CD. Well the concert started at 7:00 sharp, they started things off with “What A Friend” it seems to be their new opener for now, it is a great mood setting song. They went from their into the best version of “Strike Up The Band” I have heard them do live yet!!!!!! It was terrific just awesome!!!! Scott then set up the next song “Take It To The Cross” with the always disturbing story about that crazy church in Florida that does not believe in using Jesus’s name in prayer’s or believe in personal testimony from the platform!!! That just bothers me to no end!!!! I am glad L5 took a stand and told them they would not be there!!!!! After that Scott introduced Tim by talking about ME!!!!!!! Well kinda lol He told about how I came up to him and encouraged him to get on Facebook, he said if Tim says its alright then it must be alright!!!! (Tim Told Me Later He thinks Scotty is close!!!!) After that Tim played his ever amazing redition of “In My Heart There Rings A Melody” I love it more everytime I hear him play it!!!! They went straight from there into one of my requests “I Found Grace” which is my Favorite L5 song!!!! Then Scott said they wanted to do a couple around the piano, they first sang “The Prettiest Flowers” and then they sang “On The Jericho Road” during the song Frank picked on Glenn for singing low enough, but Glenn REALLY NAILED the ending. I am going to check it but he hit a note lower than I have ever heard him go in person!!!!! It was CRAZY LOW!!!!! I think it was either a low G-1 or Low B-flat, all I know is that it was LOW!!! They went straight from there into my favorite off of the Decade CD, “Why Would’nt I” It was done very well by the guys, I will say!!! Then Frank Told the Story about his conversion, and then told about his boy Frank Jr. He said there is no way he can ever put his trust in anything in this life, he said he has just left it in the Lord’s hands!!! They sang My favorite song Frank has ever sung “Peace When I Leave It In Your Hands” it was very touching considering the story he had just told, There were people wiping tears all over the place. Scott then told about the situtation in San Diego with the people and bible study, he used this story to set up their next song The ever amazing “Truth Is Marching On” I just love this song so much!!! It is so right where we are at with all of trouble in this old world!!! They did AWESOME on it!!! They had a very prolonged Standing Ovation on this one!!!!! After this Scott gave his product spill, and told abou t the new summer stimulus package!!!!! They did not do intermission they came right back up after the product pitch and sang “Roll On” They went from their into to my favorite version of “Feeling Mighthy Fine” I have heard it done by several other groups, including my beloved Booth Brothers!!!! But I don’t think anyone does it better than Legacy Five!!! That was a highlight for sure!!! After this they set up “Walk With Me” now I have seen them do this several times, and I will tell you I laugh harder everytime I see it!!! It is just so funny!!!! Then they blew the top off of “I Go To The Rock” which is a GREAT concert song!!!!!!! Its not one on the CD that really stands out until you hear it Live!!! After this they closed with “God’s Been Good” Which surprised me a little, I love the song but I was not expecting it to be the closer!!! It went over VERY well and they received a standing ovation. The concert lasted around an hour and forty minutes, It was well worth My ticket price.I Had a wonderful night and love these guys more everytime I go and see them I cannot wait to see them again…But unfortuantly that will not be till NQC , Oh Well I have something to really look forward to now. Thanks for reading this if you read it all, lol I post pretty long review’s they may be too long lol!!!!!!! That’s it for now I may post a few more tidbits that I picked up later!!!!!!

Thank you, L5BBFan, for your interesting and informative account of the concert. Reviews like this mean especially much to me, because it is the closest (except for DVDs) that I have been able to get to L5. I also enjoyed reading about your interaction with the L5 members - that personal touch helps to shape the picture I have of them. All the best!
