Im gonna say "The Next Cloud". When I get home I will have to look at that CD and think of another name if "The Next Cloud" is not correct.

It is not "Getcha To The Other Side". I will give you all a hint:
The original title (that was not used) was a song title.

Yeah, that would be my guess too.

Ok..everyone, the ORIGINAL title for "Proven Time and Time Again" was

drum roll......

"Oh Brother". ( a song on that recording)

Yeah, we all tried to visualize everyone saying "The Kingsmen- Oh Brother", or "Oh Brother- The Kingsmen."

We were able to change the name and we used a line from "I've Never Trusted You More".."But You've Proven Time and Time Again that you'll work it out somehow.."

Glad we changed it!!

Good choice and a really great album name.

We indeed serve a GOOD LORD who comes through time and time again.

yes, you all did good in changing that. I also love the cover art with the historical pictures behind the main photo, making the title that much more significant.
And being the year 2000, the turn of the century, really was reflective of a group that had been around for as long as the Kingsmen and as "proven" as they were in SG music!!!!

No way! I would have never have guessed that one!

Ya' know, for as many times as I've listened to that Cd, it NEVER came across my mind that the title was from a line in "I've Never Trusted You"! That's so cool!

Here's a blast from the past. What makes it interesting is that according to the Kingsmen twitter site, the guys have recently re-recorded this great old song for their new album.

Here's the next trivia question . . .

Who auditioned and traveled with The Kingsmen in the 80's as tenor but was not hired?

Good guesses guys! But it wasn't Brain Free, Jay Parrack or Kirk Talley.

BillBaileyBFAFan, I'm not 100% sure about the year, but it was right before Garry Shepphard was hired, so maybe 82'? Hope that helps guys!

Have fun and keep guessing! You guys are doing good!

I believe this song was originally on the album entitled .. "The Reverend Everette Beverly and Sister Annna Laura". I always loved that song!

I really hope you were joking, cause if not, I totally don't understand that!!!
I mean both of those are better than many kingsmen tenors. After all they were of enough "caliber" to sing with the Cathedral Quartet, one of the greatest male quartets in history.
Do you really think Jeremy Peace, Ernie Phillips or Garry Shepphard were as good as these 2 guys??

Yea I do...In my opinion, Jeremy Peace, Jerry Martin, Ernie Phillips, Gary Shepphard, Chris Collins, Harold Reed, and Johnny Parrack are better than Ernie Haase and Danny Funderburk
