If you click on videos and then put the Kingsmen in the search engine it should come up. It's listed as 'KINGSMEN" "WHEN I WAKE UP TO SLEEP NO MORE" with Anthony Burger playing piano.

I sit in the middle right section 5 rows from the back. Since it was my church and our worship ministry putting it on, then I was doing a lot of things. It was an awesome concert. Everyone loved it and the Kingsmen had a great time there.

RogerBennett_fan, We actually have a concert series that will feature 3 concerts...... One that caters towards the traditional side....which was kicked off by the Kingsmen. One that caters towards the contemporary side with date and artist TBA The final concert will be on Dec. 13th featuring the Missouri State University/Community Band. It will be a benefit concert for the Pregnancy Care Center. Time will be 2 p.m. Question for you..... I'm considering the Kingsmen for next year....but what groups do you really like.....the Perry's? or who else?

ORIGINAL: robertyork Looking forward to seeing the Kingsmen Saturday night in Acworth, GA. Hope they will be singing some of their new songs of the cd they have been recording. They're actually in the studio recording two Cds. The guys are really excited about the new songs they are recording on their new project, which, if it's anything like When God Ran, we are in for another excellent Cd from the Kingsmen. I doubt they will be doing any of those songs, seeing as the project is not finished and they just released The Word to radio. However, we are looking forward to Honoring the Heritage Volume Three, which they are hoping to have out by September. You're sure to hear some songs off of that one! We have even more GREAT music to look forward to!!!! I don't know how you can get a better Cd than When God Ran, but if anyone can, it'll be the Kingsmen! I love this Kingsmen line-up and appreciate the time and thought they put into their recordings, giving us GREAT southern gospel hits. These guys are giving some outstanding concerts. If you haven't liked the Kingsmen in the past, you'll be blessed by this group of men ~ they truly are a new era of Kingsmen who know how to keep the traditional Kingsmen sound yet are progressive enough to keep up with the current trends, staying true to southern gospel without crossing over to contemporary sound. We'll be anxious to hear your feedback from the concert! Give us a good review of the evening, wish we could be there with you for the concert .... You'll be hearing a LOT of GREAT songs off the When God Ran Cd!

Kingsmen were great in Acworth last night despite the air condition not working very well in the auditorium. It was hot but they sang hot. Songs were great. Sang one off their new Vol. III cd. It is the first song on the Chattanooga Live album 'Traveling Home'. They had a great mix of music during the concert. Sang 50 min for 1st set and 40 min. for 2nd set. Shivers and Enlisted were also on the program and they did an excellent job. A comment that was made 'three of the best groups in gospel music appeared tonight.' I thought all three did an excellent job.

I have a video that I recorded back in 98 where they did it. It was also on the Shelter video. Its a song, if I were them, I'd keep on my setlist permanently. Speaking of permanent songs, I wonder if the Kingsmen have any songs that they do every single full concert they do? If so, I would think it would be, either "When I Wake Up" or "When They Call My Name" I know in the dozen or so times I have seen them, dating as far back as 94, I think I remember them doing at least one of these songs every time, but not 100 percent sure. That might be a neat question for Bryan to answer if he can get the info on it.

Just for fun, I went back and looked at a video that I made at a concert and here is the set list from that night. March, 5, 1998 @ Campbell County High School in Jacksboro, TN. I Love to Tell, Even John Couldn't Tell It, Master I See, Heading Home, O What a Saviour, Some Sweet Day, When They Call My Name, Jesus Won my Battle on Calvary, No Room for Doubt, Come to the Water, You're Not Alone, Here comes the Bride, I Stand Upon The Rock of Ages, Say a Prayer for me, Traveling Home, Not a Moment to Lose, Jesus is Mine, What a Day that will Be, Amazing Grace, and Farther Along.. Just thought it would be neat to see what they were doing back then, compared to the songs they are doing now.

Sounded like a wonderful evening. The Kingsmen seem to have the worst luck with air conditioning at their venues ... I saw them in Jackson, MO, where they packed the place out; however, the air conditioning went out that very day at the church! It was sooooo hot. Then, I saw them in Gideon, MO, where they were suppose to be in concert at a church. Turned out they had so many churches interested in coming to the concert, they moved the concert over to the High School. Air conditioning wasn't working in that building that evening either! The poor guys roasted on-stage, and if that wasn't bad enough, as the sun was setting, it was baking the guys on-stage through the glass windows that lined the west wall of the auditorium. They did an awesome job regardless of the circumstances, (they are true professionals). As a matter of fact, every time Ray hit a low note that night, the ceiling tiles would rumble and just above his head white styro would fall - looked just like a snow-globe falling around him. Got to the point that everyone would laugh when he hit his notes and the snow would fall. Of course, Ray played along with the distraction and Bryan made sure he was out from under the "snowfall." They put on such an excellent concert that evening, we forgot about the heat while they were on-stage!!!
