Oh...nothing can beat a trip to the Texas Tavern!
Weighing in on the Coke vs Pepsi thing...Diet Pepsi for me please!!!

Now back on subject. All of Gold City would love Texas Tavern. However it would have to be almost empty as it will only seat 10 people at a time. There are 7 of us on our bus.

Yes...you are so right...it's an experience needed to be shared but you might find it hard to park that bus anywhere near downtown!

No matter what you are drinking or NOT drinking, you'll NEVER beat Tom's Hotdogs In Panama City, FL.
There IS no better....anywhere.

Jim,

I see you have never been to Chicago. A hot dog fan would go CRAZY there. There are SOOOOOOOOOO many good places to get a GREAT dog.

You're right, Ed....never been to Chicago.
If I ever get the chance, I'll ask you for suggestions on where to eat.

Staying on Subject, The City deserves a visit to http://www.texastavern-inc.com/index.html and if I had to ride around the block till they finished I would.

So i just saw Gold City this past weekend for the first time since Bruce joined...that guy can sing the roof off of a place, what a great addition! I was wondering if anybody knows his background, his family; is there a history of singers in his family, is he married, any kids, etc.; what he did before joining GC, did he ever sing with another group or just fill in every now and then for GC, etc. Just curious :)

I'm looking forward to seeing them again at Singing in the Foothills and then again in Anderson the next Sunday night!!

He used to sing in a quartet with one of The Imperials; I believe it was Jeremie Hudson. He sang baritone for that group.

I picked up Gold City's Revival at my trusty local used bookstore last week, and man I have to say, its one of my favorite Cds already.
I think the last Gold City CD that I had before that was the one with "Get Up, Get Ready" on it, and man these guys are every bit as good as Tim, Mark, Johnathon, and Jay. (Although I know Jon was on this album too).

I'm really looking forward to their new project coming out. Bruce is an absolutely phenomenal addition to the group, and I can't wait to hear how they sound (other than from Youtube videos, that is )

Last I heard, they were still working on the final mix for the CD, so I'm assuming that means it's not in stock yet.
