They are good and have speakers that are doctrinally sound. Don't let the name of the conference mislead you - they are not 'Word of Faith'.

I've never been, but I have many friends who have and always come back greatly blessed and encouraged. They usually have really good speakers.

ORIGINAL: slimon11 Hello, I am looking for more information on these conferences and authors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_of_Faith Thank you!! I just attended my second Women of Faith conference in St. Paul. (I'd been to one many years ago in Des Moines.) I very much enjoyed the speakers. Luci Swindoll, Patsy Clairmont and Marilyn Meberg were my favorites. Thelma Wells is no longer with them but when I heard her in DM, she was my favorite. The music and worship was a little too loud and rocky for my taste. I think they would do well with some quieter times of worship as well because they have a broad range of ages and I observed a number of women who were very uncomfortable with the volume of the music. And I think my hearing was impaired because when I returned home, my husband said, "Loud music? You're talking louder now." But Jesus is lifted up. And they are Truth tellers---not hiding or covering up their natures but honestly and truthfully confessing the areas they find a struggle to live out faithfully with the Lord. I would not have attended this last time if someone hadn't given me the tickets. But it was a fun time of fellowship with other women who love Jesus and that was my primary reason for going. (We had to travel a number of hours and spend a night in St. Paul.)

I went to one many years ago. Was somewhat surprised at the amount of menopause and mammogram jokes! Most of the speakers were a lot older than me at the time (but those are some wild old ladies, let me tell you). The teaching wasn't the deepest but there was nothing wacko. While the teaching wasn't really deep, the ladies' life stories were touching. I really enjoyed Sheila Walsh. She had just put out her autobiography focusing on her struggles with depression.

Thanks, it is great to hear from those of you that went. Sounds fun but, it would be like a $250 weekend with the ticket and hotel alone. Maybe I will try to save up for next year....Anyone know of cheaper or free conferences of this sort?

My friends who go usually volunteer to "work" the conference so they get in free.
