Guitar Hero and Rock Band are both popular. -Dan.

Well, since Iluvatar went with the fad choice (and expensive), I'll go with the relatively unknown gem (and cheaper): I really enjoyed "Zack & Wiki: The Quest for Barbaros' Treasure", and would highly recommend it. However, being an adventure game, it's not in the same genre as any of the games you've listed. Fantastic game, though. Sam & Max: Season One (which I played on the PC) is another adventure game I loved, though it's got even less action in it than Zack & Wiki. Adventure games aren't for everyone, but these are some of the best in years. (I actually bought the 2-disc soundtrack for Sam & Max and my mom enjoys listening, that's how good the musical score is.) "Boom Blox" and "De Blob" are other lesser known titles that are garnering amazing amounts of praise. If I weren't already buried under a long list of games waiting to be played, those are two I'd be looking at. The LEGO series of games (Starwars, Indiana Jones, Batman) are praised as fun and simple platformers. Although, if you're going for a platformer Super Mario Galaxy is a lot more polished from what I've read. Also consider going for a Wii Points card, since there are a lot of Virtual Console and WiiWare titles out there that are really good. If I didn't already own Secret of Mana (SNES), I'd be planning to get it on Virtual Console. While over on WiiWare, "World of Goo" has me intrigued enough I'm trying to decide if I want it for Wii or for PC when I have enough money. I can scrounge up some more highly rated games, if none of these seem appealing. The only other ones I've played and would reccomend would be the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario. However, Zelda was a launch title, and SPM came out not much later. If Wii sales ever start to drop off (they're still expected to be short this Christmas? ) I'd expect those to be two of the first turned into Player's Choice titles. I wouldn't buy them at full price.

My favourite game on the Wii is easily Guitar Hero. I've also got Mario Kart (which I see you've got too) which is also pretty good. What about Spyro? Would he like that?

Anybody played Star Wars: The Force Unleashed yet? I've heard mixed reviews about it. -Dan.

Anybody played Star Wars: The Force Unleashed yet? I've heard mixed reviews about it. My son (13 years old) got it a month or so ago. He's been through it three times. I'm almost on my second time through. We both enjoyed it! Super Mario Galaxy is probably the best Wii game, and possibly the best game currently out on any platform. Battalion Wars II is a great game as well. Rayman Raving Rabbids (I, II, and III) are great games. The Lego series is also great.
