Tonight's wife swap was pretty interesting..sometimes the families are so extreme (like the pirate obsessed family), that the episodes just seem bizarre.

But tonight had a cultured, into the arts, Suburban California family switch places with a family from the Louisiana bayou that caught a lot of their own food. Did anyone else watch it?

I saw it and I was very very disappointed in that "cultured" dad.

I saw it. A 13 yr. old boy that dosen't know how to ride a bike, and has to stare at art pieces? Yikes! Not that guys can't appricate art, but yikes! Mom and dad got their wine and cheese parties but what did the kid get? I felt sorry for him.

Yeah, I have no problem with a kid taking ballet, but come on--can we let a 13yo boy be a little more well-rounded please? And his dad totally acted like helping him learn to ride the bike was putting him out. And he'd rather go to dance class than hang out with his kid? No respect for him.

Was it a rerun? Cause it sounds familiar.

But that was just too bizarre.

It was new. There have been a couple of family with dancing kids. There was the one with the boy and the girl that danced together. And there was the one with the two boys and the older one hung around with a group of old ladies. Are you remembering one of those?

(I'm marginally sorry to say that I've seen every episode. )

Yes it must have been one of those two.

They must have changed what time they are showing it cause I haven't seen the new season.

They moved it to Friday. We got confused by that, too.

I've seen a lot of the episodes. But I usually catch it in reruns. It's better than a lot of what is out there.

I hardly ever watch Wife Swap (cuz it's on when I'm busy).
I did see the one with the French guy who made the 'wife' get up at 4am to bake bread for 12 hours.
Considering how dirty the house was, it's a wonder anyone wanted to cook in that kitchen.

Wife Swap must enjoy the conflicts between Californians and Louisianans.

they did that show about that family when Hurricane Katrina hit their area. she was the mother from Louisiana Bayou against that veggie mother that was so fake! No one liked the veggie mother's attitude toward the sweet Bayou mom.

That guy cracked me up! It was weird though, at first I really disliked him, and then the more I watched I kind of got to thinking he seemed like a good guy, he just had weird ways. (Was he the one who got goofy about killing the bug?)

Yeah. He hit it with a spatula...lol. (I hope he washed it before he used it later.)
He did seem to genuinely love his wife and kids. Not sure I could keep up with him though!

This episode (with the tea party lady swapping with the gym lady)...seemed to have a milder brand of people than usual.
