We either put it up on Thanksgiving day or that weekend. We also turn on all of the outside lights at the same time. I love Christmas lights!

Not until the weekend after the 5th of December. That's been the tradition for our family since our eldest was born on the 5th of December, 15 years ago this year. I promised him the year he was born that I wouldn't decorate for Christmas before we celebrated his birthday.

We put ours up around the first week of december and take it down in the middle of january.

We usually put it up Thanksgiving weekend, or the week after. I like to enjoy my tree for the whole month of December. I try to take it down around New Years, because by that time I'm getting tired of it!

Me and my housemate discussed this just the other day. I don't want to even think about putting up Christmas decoration etc until December.

The day after Thanksgiving.
I love it. None of our ornaments are alike and we add one or two each year. Mrs. Kerrlaw takes them out one at a time and we look and remember as she tells the story of the ornament.

The last week in Nov, sometimes on Thanksgiving day. It really depends on our schedules that week. This year with a one year old it should be lots of fun!!!!

We put ours up the day after Thanksgiving. We take it down the first weekend after New Years.
This will be our first Christmas in our new (to us) home.It's going to be so much different than all the others.

Every year has been different since I've lived on my own or with roommates. The earliest was just before Thanksgiving, and the latest was the second week of December. Growing up, it was almost always the day after Thanksgiving. This year, we won't have one at all, unless we can find a tabletop one. They aren't common in Japan.

Last year my nephew was stationed in Iraq. Just before Thanksgiving I sent him a 2 foot tree in the box with all of the decorations. He loved it as he and another man lived in a 2 person trailer. The tree & the CHRISTmas cards that people sent them were their only decrations. It was very cheap but gave a lot of pleasure to two service men.
