If you could produce a new TV series version of any TV show what would it be and who would play the various roles?

I would bring back Bonanza, mostly because TV doesn't have any westerns anymore. I would get David James Elliott (JAG) to play Adam Cartwright, Brock Lesner (former pro wrestler and current UFC fighter) to play Hoss, Ben Savage (Boy Meets World) to play Little Joe, and Jackie Chan to play Hop Sing.

I am still not sure who I would get to play Ben Cartwright. I was thinking Keith Carradine because he has always been good in westerns but his voice isn't deep enough for the part. Maybe Sam Elliott would be good for that role!

John O'Hurley. He has the same look that Lorne Green had.

I'd bring back Spenser for hire, but I have to think about the casting.

How about Edward James Olmos? Seems like it would make sense to me

The more I think about it, the more I think Sam Elliott would be good for the role of Ben Cartwright. He's always been good in westerns. He has the voice for it. And his hair is getting pretty gray!

John O'Hurley just isn't serious enough and I really can't picture him on a horse. I can't picture Edward James Olmos on a horse either. He did okay Adama in Battlestar Galactica but I just can't see him as Ben Cartwright. He might have been able to replace Lorne Greene (who I honestly believe was miscast in the original BG) in the one role but not this one!

I would do a remake of the Honeymooners. Not sure who I'd have do the parts. I would probably ask Joyce Randolph if she'd do a cameo though.

Brad Garrett could play Ralph Kramden! Did you see the TV movie where he played Jackie Gleason? He was perfect as Gleason!

How about Edward James Olmos? That would bring a certain symetry to the character....
