When you are dating or even hanging out with a guy and he invites you over to his apartment, do you look in their medicine cabinet when using the bathroom? Inquiring minds want to know!

Just to clarify, you are arleady friends with this guy and its not uncommon to hang out.

Invite me over to his apartment? To do what - to look at his etchings. The medicine cabinet won't even come up because I'll be turning down that invitation.

only if I was needing t.p. or something. It is also interesting to see if they read in the bathroom and what they read. And no, I was not "looking at etchings". Like Ebony, if I thought that was the motive, I wouldn't have stepped thru the front door.

Like someone else said unless I'm looking for TP because there is none out, I try not to snoop at anyone's house as I'd hope someone would do for me...respecting someone else's personal space.

Now if there is something of interest just lying out there --- well that's observation.

Thanks for the edit Humble. This could be a fun topic and it would be a shame to have it side tracked.
BTW, if it means anything to ya.... I always look at my bathroom through the eyes of a "snooper".

LOL..This is hilarious..Yes I do. I even look in the bathroom drawers, and under the bathroom sink. I guess that I am looking for 'evidence' of some kind. This is too funny ya'll..lol.

I think I did only once - I felt so guilty I didn't after that. Of course I was really young back when I dated/hung around with guys, so I might be a bit more bold now, in my advanced age!

Dear Humble:

Of course I did! How otherwise would I know what aftershave to purchase on his birthday?

Yours for peeking,

ROFL- I am another, if it's out there, take note... but closed doors are closed...

I read in an entertaining magazine one time that the editor, when hosting a holiday party, put marbles in her medicine cabinet, etc... hehehe How embarrassing would that be???

Now that you've modified your post.

Yeah, I guess I would take a peek. I'd want to see what he stocked in there.

Guilty. I tend to be a tenacious snooper and am always curious about other people's live. Of course...I do feel guilty, but it's too much fun to change my ways.

I would never dream of looking in anyones medicine cabinet. I find it bizarre that people do this.

I ditto this. But, if it's out in the open, it's free for observation.

The only time I have gone in someone's medicine cabinet is if there is something I need that it's not practical for me to walk out and ask for... IE... needing feminine products unexpectedly when at a Bible study (when I know there are girls in the house so they should be there). And even then I feel very guilty and will let them know later on the side when it's not so embarrassingly obvious.

I don't know if I would open the medicine cabinet....but I have been known to pull the shower curtain back to see if the person cleans their tub.

LOL! What a fun thread. I didn't realize so many people did this. I'll have to make sure the insides of my medicine cabinet look good the next time I have guests over, just in case!

I pull the shower curtain back to make sure no one is hiding there I can be a bit paranoid...

But no, it would never occur to me to look in someone else's medicine cabinet any more than I would start rummaging through their drawers in another room.

No, however you just strike me as the type of mischievous curious person who would.

Heh, this question brings up a funny/not so funny story.

When I was far from my walk, I was at someone else's home. I went to the restroom, and was looking for soap to wash my hands. In the medicine cabinet was another girl's driver's license!

I couldn't get out of there fast enough - but I was afraid he'd think I was snooping. If he'd been cleaner, I wouldn't even have known!

I grew up being taught that you place high respect on other people's privacy. As such, snooping is not something that ever crosses my mind. Besides, what's the point? To find out they might have allergies or athletes foot?
